Lineworker Apprentice Learn and perform a variety of semi-skilled and skilled tasks involved in the construction and maintenance of overhead and underground distribution of electrical service for the City of Grand Island. DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS This is the entry level class in the line worker series. This class is distinguished from the Lineworker First Class by the performance of the more routine tasks and duties assigned to positions within the series. Since this class is typically used as a training class, employees may have only limited work experience. WORKING ENVIRONMENT Duties are performed both indoors and out. As a Technician Apprentice, you will assist on the job site, as needed, with the installation of Burglar Alarm Systems, Access Control Systems, and IP Video Surveillance Systems while working under the close supervision of a more Senior Technician or Project Manager. The Technician Apprentice will have the ability to advance their career as an Installation Technician as they gain knowledge, skills, and abilities The ideal candidate will demonstrate technical proficiency, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service to our clients.
