What We Offer

Introduction
The Maintenance Apprentice will perform work on equipment, aircraft, and facilities at Empire Aerospace; under the guidance of maintenance, structure, avionics, composite, lead technicians, and supervisors.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintenance Apprentice works on aircraft, components or related parts of aircraft.
Are responsible to perform work outlined on applicable work forms in accordance with company policies and procedures, manufacturer's manuals, and FAA requirements.
Comply with Empire policies, procedures, and specifications set forth in Empire Aerospace repair station manual, other customer maintenance policies and procedures (as applicable), manufacturer's manuals, technical data, and current federal aviation regulations.
Perform cabin interior maintenance/cleaning and general aircraft cleaning.
Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area. This includes: ensuring that parts removed are properly tagged and controlled, shop supplies and equipment are put away when not in use, and all other responsibilities related to shop cleanliness.
Ensure that all work for which he/she is responsible for, is properly performed, inspected, and documented.
Properly and efficiently use all tools, parts, equipment, and materials provided by Repair Station.
Properly document all on-the-job training received during the performance of his/her duties.
Facilitate maintenance on ground support equipment and facilities.
Other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
Education and experience
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
The Maintenance apprentice should have appropriate mechanical experience as evident by employment history, education, personal interview, or practical test showing mechanical ability.
Good oral and written communication skills with the ability to read, write, and understand the English language.
Working knowledge of common hand tools and how to work safely.
Must posses basic common hand tools to perform maintenance tasks.
Must adhere to the company's FAA/DOT required Drug and Alcohol Program.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Work will be performed in a hangar environment and may require considerable outside work.
Work may be done at different locations as needed.
Apprentice will be exposed to noise and hazards associated with aircraft maintenance.
Requires standing, walking, sitting, bending and stooping for extended periods of time.
May be required to lift, up to 80 pounds, plus ladder/lift usage.
Requires manual dexterity, speaking, seeing and hearing to conduct business.

PAY & BENEFITS
Starting pay for this position is $21 per hour.
With 36 months of documented service the apprentice may be elidable to apply for their A/P with the Federal Aviation Administration in accordance with their policies.
