Position Summary
This is a paid, full-time position at our distillery in Alameda, California. Shifts are five days per
week. Most work takes place on weekdays during primary business hours, but production relies
on time-sensitive agricultural products, so we occasionally ask our team to work outside their
typical schedule.
Under supervision from the Distiller, the Production Apprentice is responsible for assisting in
day-to-day production, processing, and storage operations of the distillery by performing a wide
range of tasks and projects. This position is responsible for providing team-oriented support
within the production department. This is considered an introductory position wherein task
management and developing an understanding of department best practices and standard
operating procedures are paramount to the success of the role. All St. George Spirits employees
are expected to perform their job in a safe manner and report any safety concerns to

This is an entry-level position with hands-on, site-specific training provided. The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

Job Summary:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (not limited to):
Apprentice Carpenter
Follow, practice, and promote CVGs safety program. Always wear PPE, in accordance with company policy. Report violations immediately.
Maintain public safety including directing traffic when necessary to ensure safety of pedestrians, motorists, and work crews.
Maintain current and valid certifications including OSHA 10/30.
Maintain working knowledge and appropriately operate a variety of hand and power tools, heavy machinery, and construction or company vehicles.
Load and unload construction supplies from trucks.
Transport materials to and from construction areas.
Perform setup and cleanup tasks at jobsite as needed, including demolition, and properly disposing of debris and waste materials.
Maintain a safe and clean jobsite by always handling and storing materials properly, picking up all tools and equipment when not in use, and clean/storing tools and equipment properly.
Dig pits, trenches, and foundations in preparation for site construction; back-fill trenches and pits as needed.
Meet and exceed expectations of project schedule with timeliness of tasks.
Secure the jobsite daily.
Review blueprints to understand the scope of work.
Complete CVG self-perform work.
Fabricate and cut wood components and framework.
Install windows, doors, frames, and hardware.
Repair wood structures. Perform trim and finishing work.
Repair acoustic ceilings.
Form, pour, and patch concrete, including installation and rebar.
Perform minor demolition, reframing and drywall installation (metal stud and wood frame).
Install restroom accessories.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience working on construction projects and sites.
Proficient with industry hand tools and power tools.
Understanding of construction practices and procedures.
Completion of OSHA 10/30 preferred.
Completion of CPR and First Aid training preferred.
Communicate effectively with all team members, strong organizational skills, and detail oriented.
