Key Responsibilities: Assist journeyperson painters in preparing and finishing surfaces including drywall, metal, concrete, and wood.and other substraits Apply protective coatings, primers, and decorative finishes using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment. Set up and dismantle scaffolding, ladders, and containment systems. Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to OSHA and union safety standards. Attend required classroom instruction through the local painters union. Learn to read blueprints, follow specifications, and use trade tools and materials properly. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED preferred. Must be 18 years or older. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Willingness to work at heights and in various weather conditions. Strong work ethic, punctuality, and a desire to learn a skilled trade. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and work as part of a team.
