POSITION SUMMARY
The Phlebotomist Apprentice is a technical skill-based apprenticeship that provides phlebotomy students the ability to learn and develop on the job training for phlebotomy. Our phlebotomists represent the face of Sonora Quest Laboratories to patients who come for routine and health decision base laboratory work. This role collects quality blood samples from patients and prepares those specimens for lab testing. This role assists teams in Patient Service Centers, Hospitals, or in doctor's offices to meet patient demand during peak hours of the day or when or where business needs dictate once the student has completed educational and didactic training for specimen collection.
The Phlebotomist-Apprentice role has direct contact with patients and creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients and drawing blood in a safe and accurate manner. The Phlebotomist Apprentice demonstrates behaviors based on Sonora Quest values, focusing on empathy, process excellence, confidentiality, and accuracy of patient information. This position may also perform specified analytical testing as assigned.
Performs all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards.
CORE FUNCTIONS
1. To include the following: 1) specimen collection 2) general laboratory specimen processing or 3) referral laboratory processing. In doing so, ensuring correct patient and specimen identification and specimen integrity by using appropriate techniques for all age criteria as required. Verifies patient demographics, location, physician data, tests requested, time and date of collection, appropriate clinical information, and all other pertinent data found on requisitions as required for processing and billing. Verifies accuracy of entered information. Verifies appropriateness of specimens received. Aliquots and labels specimens according to established departmental procedures and practices, delivers specimens to the technical area in a timely manner and / or performs initial processing and preparation of samples for transport. Performs “Triage” process as needed within Patient Service Centers. Enters data accurately
2. Focuses on quality by assuring that all work performed is accurate and complete. Completes documents legibly and accurately per site protocol. Follows established methods and practices. Maintains familiarity with departmental procedures. Uses appropriate documentation to record communications. Initiates computer generated reports as required for patient reporting and quality assurance monitoring. Maintains acceptable specimen rejection rates and meets the departmental standards for productivity and quality as currently defined.
3. Participates in departmental financial responsibilities through the appropriate use of supplies and materials. Avoids excessive waste. Participates in department initiatives to reduce costs and improve service. Basic knowledge of billing. Commitment to error free work environment.
4. Assures an exceptional customer experience through communication that reflects the highest standards of service to the customer, both internal and external, with a focus on compassion, empathy and professionalism. Interacts with co-workers with an emphasis on teamwork where together they prioritize an exceptional patient and client experience. Resolves basic service issues. Remains current with internal/external communications, i.e. e-mail, newsletters, etc. Increased knowledge of laboratory terminology.
5. Acknowledges and understands the importance of ‘Patient Rights' and privacy (HIPAA). Promotes, supports and exhibits behavior consistent with the Mission, Vision, and Values of Laboratory Sciences of Arizona and customer-focused care.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum age requirement of 18.
Must be a high school graduate or have achieved equivalency through the GED exam.
Good reading, writing and math abilities.
Good organizational skills.
Basic computer skills.
Position may require ADHS Fingerprinting Certification or the ability to obtain fingerprint certification.
Good customer service or patient service abilities.

is located at our TSM Gillette location in Gillette, WY.** Responsible for maintaining Basin Electric Power Cooperative's (BEPC) 115 kV, 230 kV and 345 kV transmission system, working on wood poles, steel poles, and lattice towers up to 500 kV construction. This position safely and efficiently maintains BEPC electric power transmission lines that serve our members, participants, and customers. The incumbent maintains rights-of-way and other Cooperative assets and assist other crafts as necessary.
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES**
+ Assist in the maintenance of transmission facilities, including both wood and steel structures using live line maintenance with Bare hand / Hot Stick procedures. This includes climbing steel and wood structures, conducting aerial and ground patrol of assigned transmission lines, tightening hardware, checking insulator strings, and replacing fatigued or broken hardware.
+ Install and maintain conductors under both energized and de-energized conditions. Read blueprints and diagrams in order to assemble and erect wood and steel structures.
+ Patrol rights-of-way and maintain these areas by fixing fences and gates and restoring washed out areas.
+ Maintain shop locations to ensure a clean, safe working environment and perform minor maintenance on vehicle equipment.
+ Perform "groundwork" to assist other linemen in the maintenance of lines and structures.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**
+ A High school diploma or equivalent (GED or HSED) and either 4 years of experience with an accredited lineman apprenticeship program and obtained a Journeyman Lineman rating or 4 years of related military training/experience.
+ May be required to have a National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operator (NCCO) designation, or willingness to obtain certification within 1 year from date of hire.
+ A valid driver's license in the state of residence.
+ Must have a Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with air brakes and no CDL restrictions other than a medical variance (V). If the incumbent does not have a CDL, after six months in the position, the incumbent will be required to complete CDL theory, obtain a permit, complete Behind the Wheel, and obtain a passing grade on the CDL test by the end of the first year of employment. This is a Department of Transportation (DOT) (FMCSA) (CDL) qualified position.
**This position is identified as a Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) related position, which may allow physical and/or logical access to Bulk Electric System (BES) cyber related assets or systems. This position may allow access to privileged information relating to such assets or systems. **PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS**
This position requires frequent sitting, standing, walking, and climbing structures and ladders, including lattice steel towers and wood or steel poles to heights up to 300 feet while the lines are energized; occasional bending, climbing stairs, kneeling, reaching, crawling, use of a keyboard/computer, use of foot controls, turning valves, pushing/pulling up to 150 pounds, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Equipment used includes insulated aerial man lifts, digger trucks, all-terrain vehicles, straight trucks over 26,001 pounds, tractor/trailer combinations (semi), line tension equipment, hot line tools/ bare hand equipment, hydraulic tamps, drills, air operated tools, chain saws, and other associated equipment used in the construction and maintenance of transmission lines. Finger dexterity, good color vision and hearing, and the ability to perform close work are required. Continuously working in areas of electrical risks (energized transmission line from 34,000 to 500,000 volts); frequently working in conditions of extreme heat or cold and dirt/dust; and occasionally around fumes, chemicals, vibration, and noise. The incumbent will also be required to work at heights up to 300 feet, which requires the use of safety equipment, including a harness, in accordance with ANSI Z359 standards. Harness rating usually 300lbs, including tools, clothing, and the individual. This position is also responsible to conduct aerial line patrol. The incumbent must remain fit for duty.
**KEY SKILLS**
+ Daily, this position requires the ability to weigh/measure, read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
+ Ability to routinely climb power line structures, including lattice steel towers and wood or steel poles, to heights of 225 feet and occasionally, to more than 300 feet while the lines are energized.

Responsibilities
As a Journeyman Lineman you will install, maintain and repair all transmission and distribution electrical systems and associated equipment, both overhead and underground, while utilizing line trucks, aerial boom, lifts and wire pulling equipment. Maintenance of lines and services will require pole climbing, hot sticking, and working out of truck mounted bucket lifts to construct, repair or maintain line equipment or string, splice and sag wire on live or dead circuits. Operates switches, cutouts and uses grounding devices to work on de-energized lines and equipment. You may train and direct the work of a trainee/apprentice in the trade.
Rubber gloving training will be provided. Upon meeting the qualifications for Rubber Gloving, an increase to the Qualified Journeyman Lineman rate of pay will be given.

* Completion of a formal apprenticeship training program.
* Experience as a Journeyman Lineman, Journeyman Lineman certification. and/or testing through UWUA 127.
* Must meet examining board review of skills and experience.

* Must own, or be able to obtain, a Class A Commercial Driver's License.
* Upon selection, the successful applicant will be required to pass UWUA 127 testing in their third month of employment.

Under general supervision, the Shop Apprentice performs a variety of light mechanical repair and preventive maintenance and assists Shop Technicians and Mechanics with corrective maintenance on Internal Combustion (IC) engines, natural gas and liquefied petroleum (LP) generators. Perform preventive maintenance on pressure washer.
Move generator units to and from locations using a forklift.

Assist the Shop Mechanics in their daily tasks to include but not limited to removing/installing parts, checking Standard Operating Procedures and assisting in routine inspections.
Assist other team members in their daily tasks to include but not limited to removing/installing parts, verifying engine specifications, and repair and maintain shop tools/equipment.
Ensure the work area and shop are clean and tools put away.
Perform light mechanical work on Internal Combustion engines and Natural gas engines and generators.

Responsibilities
As a Journeyman Lineman you will install, maintain and repair all transmission and distribution electrical systems and associated equipment, both overhead and underground, while utilizing line trucks, aerial boom, lifts and wire pulling equipment. Maintenance of lines and services will require pole climbing, hot sticking, and working out of truck mounted bucket lifts to construct, repair or maintain line equipment or string, splice and sag wire on live or dead circuits. Operates switches, cutouts and uses grounding devices to work on de-energized lines and equipment. You may train and direct the work of a trainee/apprentice in the trade.
Rubber gloving training will be provided. Upon meeting the qualifications for Rubber Gloving, an increase to the Qualified Journeyman Lineman rate of pay will be given.

* A high school diploma, GED or equivalent combination of education.
* Completion of a formal apprenticeship training program.
* Experience as a Journeyman Lineman, Journeyman Lineman certification. and/or testing through UWUA 127.
* Must meet examining board review of skills and experience.
* Candidate must have formal hot stick training and experience.
* Must own, or be able to obtain, a Class A Commercial Driver's License.
* Upon selection, the successful applicant will be required to pass UWUA 127 testing in their third month of employment.
* This position requires a post-offer, pre-placement physical capacity screening, conducted by a licensed physical therapist, to assure the candidate meets the physical demands of the job. The screening will assess only the identified physical demands of the job being applied for.

While continuing your education in the evening, you will
* Build your hands-on skills through on-the-job training from the best in the business
* Work on a wide range of projects like data centers, water processing plants, casinos, resi-mercial high rises, pharmaceutical plants, and many others
* Maintain a constant focus on safety and enjoy working with the best equipment in the industry while you install raceways, pull wire, mount equipment, assemble and install parts, do finish work, and many other tasks

Job Summary
Under general supervision, the Machine Shop Apprentice performs disassembly, cleaning, inspecting, preparation, and reassembly of engine cylinder heads. They are also responsible for the daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance of the shop, tools, equipment, and machinery.
Essential Duties

Removal of valve train components from cylinder head core using appropriate tools
Use of welder to apply heat/leverage to remove valve seats from cylinder heads
Use of angle grinder, drills, and various metallic cleaning tools to remove carbon/paint from cylinder heads
Operation of parts washer and ultrasonic machine to remove build up/debris
Utilization of measuring tools to include micrometers, calipers, ball gauges to perform pre-machine inspections
Perform repair to cylinder head casting or thread repair
Use of automotive hydraulic press to remove and install new valve train components
Use of digital programs to input data for tracking
Maintain cleanliness of assigned shop area, tools, equipment, and machinery
All other duties assigned.
