Position Summary
The position will be responsible for learning and performing Preventative Maintenance on all injection molding machines and may include preventative maintenance on auxiliary equipment as well. The position will report to the Maintenance Supervisor.
Job Elements & Position Responsibilities
* Perform a wide variety of repair and construction operations to install, maintain or modify a wide variety of machinery and auxiliary production equipment under general supervision.
* Diagnose and remedy operating problems; disassemble, inspect and overhaul injection molding machine components. Assist higher classified Mechanic(s) in correcting machine operating problems. Confer with higher classified Mechanics or Supervisor on the need for repairs and/or replacement parts.
* Fitting and aligning precision mechanisms, drives, bearings, etc. Layout and install molding machines, equipment, etc. May assist contractors on major plant installation and/or expansion etc. to make or alter replacement parts. Use a variety of precision measuring instruments to check machine alignment, performance, fit parts, etc.
* Routine repair projects are performed under general supervision. Guidance and/or immediate supervision is provided on critical or extensive repair projects such as rebuilding injection molding presses, etc.
Required Qualifications
* Broad, general background in the installation and maintenance of machines and process equipment.
* Familiarity with supporting systems including hydraulics, heat, and electrical controls, etc.
* Additional schooling and training may be required.
* Related education and/or experience equivalent to two to three years of trade school training plus one to three years of related work experience.

Summary of responsibilities:
Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation and repair with precision measuring and testing instruments.
Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts and using rulers, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
Ensures the proper functioning of mechanical, electro-mechanical, and electronic equipment by troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and calibrating industrial equipment and test equipment throughout Stationary GSE in accordance with approved manuals and procedures.
Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to log inventory levels; anticipating need; placing and expediting orders; and verifying receipt.
Prepares maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.

Industrial A/C refrigeration: Knowledge of high-pressure point-of-use pre-condition air systems, low-pressure glycol chiller systems, and repair and isolate system failures, as well as the related software for both high- and low-pressure control circuits systems.
400 Hz Generator/Inverter Ground Power: Strong understanding of electronic and electrical components and proficiency at identifying problems and repairing and rebuilding them. A background in 400 Hz, testing equipment as needed to perform repair/overhaul, and the ability to read electrical schematics and drawings are required. Familiarity with Jetpower II, Jetpower Plus, and CSI units. Experience operating passive and resistive load banks and working in an electronics environment.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
The Analyst II, Facilities Maintenance, reports directly to the Vice President of Facility Management and provides secondary support to the Vehicle Maintenance department as needed to ensure alignment across both operational areas. This position is responsible for administering to the maintenance department via Oracle budget and procurement support, project management assistance, 3rd party property management liaison, contract renewal support, and other assigned facility maintenance related duties.
WHAT YOU BRING
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Administrative Services, or related field. Additional experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis up to four (4) years.
Three (3) years progressively responsible experience in administrative office management, asset management experience, as well as financial system experience required.
Oracle financial systems experience preferred.
Working for a government and/or corporate owner preferred.
Experience with Enterprise Asset Management Systems, Computerized Maintenance Management Systems, and Integrated Workplace Management Systems preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Proficient with software related to word processing, spreadsheet preparation, and financial applications software.
Strong analytical skills to analyze problems and identify solutions to intermediate budgetary problems concerning capital projects, task order contracts, and operating accounts.
Demonstrated knowledge with tracking department expenses, preparing purchase requisitions, budget, status reports, managing contracts and projects, and maintaining a complex filing system following established records management procedures.
Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
Ability to consistently manage multiple tasks and meet established deadlines.
Ability to adjust quickly and effectively to ever changing conditions.
Ability to maintain an effective working relationship with employees, management, contractors, and the public.
Detail oriented with excellent customer service and communication skills that transfers to positive working relationships with clients, co-workers, tenants, contractors, and vendors.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Work is generally performed in an office environment in which there is only minimal exposure to unpleasant and/or hazardous working conditions. This position works with multiple project timelines and is responsible for managing employees performing work of a complex nature.
Incumbent must have the ability to stand and sit frequently throughout an eight-hour period, reach vertically for overhead use as well as horizontally. Must be able to use a telephone or headset equipment.
Incumbents must be able to lift and move material weighing up to 20 lbs., perform work at a computer terminal for 6-8 hours a day, and function in an environment with constant interruptions.

Mobility Status:
As a Hybrid position, onsite presence is guided by team collaboration needs, customer and front-line team member interactions, and role responsibilities. This position is based in Austin, TX. Successful out-of-state candidates must relocate to the state of Texas prior to start date.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

Financial Systems & Budgeting Support: Provide end-user support and training for Oracle financial systems; assist in budget preparation, tracking, reconciliation, and reporting for capex and opex.
Coordinate the management of Facilities Maintenance budget. Monitor and assist in the development of each capital and operating expense budget: track expenses per category, provide current status, produce reports based on department performance indicators; gather and enter data, generate reports for senior management meetings, and prepare documents as requested.
Invoice & Procurement Management: Ensure timely payment of invoices, support procurement processes, and manage purchase requisitions and contracts. Responsible for reviewing and ensuring timely payment of invoices for goods and services provided to the Vehicle and Facilities Maintenance departments.
Facilities & Asset Oversight: Support planning and reporting for facility projects, contract renewals, and purchase order management.
Strategic Planning & Benchmarking: Contribute to Facilities Life Cycle Planning, strategic initiatives, and support the development of dashboards and benchmarks for equipment replacement and repairs.
Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with facilities managers, property managers, project managers, facilities coordinators, vendors, and associations; coordinate service provider evaluations and performance reviews.
Project & Records Management: Assist with project documentation, Board resolutions, and ensure accurate recordkeeping via SharePoint and compliance with retention policies.
Operational Support & Inspections: Provide operational and administrative support for Facilities Maintenance, Public Facilities Maintenance, Park & Rides, and property management by coordinating service requests, facilitating communication with vendors, and ensuring timely follow-up on tasks and documentation.
Agency Alignment & Continuous Improvement: Support strategic goals, participate in training, and contribute to process improvements and customer service excellence.
Support Capital Metropolitan Transportation Authority's Safety Management Systems (SMS) process by ensuring staff follows safety and security policies, considers safety in every action, and ensures safety and security concerns are reported.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to diagnose and repair:
Plumbing - general bathroom plumbing maintenance, familiar with flush vales (Sloan, Zurn, etc) and drains (including cabling/snaking when required). Repairing copper, pex, sink, faucet, toilet replacement
Electrical - add circuit and outlet/switch, replace outlet/switch, light fixtures/ballasts
Carpentry - install floor tiles including ceramic and VCT, repair and hang metal/wood doors, masonry repairs, concrete repairs, drywall, and other trades
Welding - stick welding carbon steel (dock levelers, dock bumpers, dock plates)
HVAC - seasonal preventive maintenance and minor diagnostic/repair
Roofing Repair- EPDM, TPO
Qualifications:
3-5 years of welding experience
3-5 years of general maintenance repair/troubleshooting experience
MUST have the ability to travel in order to service a number of facilities within an assigned geographical region
Work Schedule:
7AM - 5PM while at home facility
10-12 hour shifts while Traveling
Travel out 5-10 days per trip
