Remote work. Beautiful new headquarters located on the Water Campus in downtown Baton Rouge, LA. Meaningful work in emergency management, disaster recovery, coastal resilience, and environmental management. Opportunities to advance career, train for certifications, attend conferences, participate in social events, and travel for project needs.
It's a tie between remote/in-office work and career development opportunities.
Teams are kept lean and mean. Bandwidth and resources can sometimes be a challenge.
Mark Fallon, APTIM's CEO, travels 30+ weeks out of the year to visit our project sites all around the country and meet with our teams to see the great work they are doing. Leadership empowers their teams to do their best and be their best. Always willing to hear new ideas and solutions.
Remote work sometimes takes the personal side out of teamwork and collaboration. It would be helpful to have more in-person opportunities with managers and leadership to work on tasks and projects.
I had my summary of past work experience ready to discuss with work samples for each. It was also important to show that I had metrics/KPIs to show how performance was assessed. Speaking to the industry and understand the present challenges is also a good thing to do.
Above average
Supporting other teams. Winning work. The ability to problem solve and be creative.
There is good representation of diverse demographics with the skills and rapport needed for their respective roles.
