This role is under the direction of the Field Supervisor and will perform a variety of activities to support the operation of water production facilities, wastewater treatment facilities, lift stations, booster stations, distribution system, and the wastewater collection system.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES: (Primary Duties and Responsibilities)
* Maintains equipment at the assigned water production facilities and booster stations.
* Operates and maintains distribution systems including mains, valves, hydrants and service lines.
* Maintains equipment at the wastewater treatment facilities and lift stations.
* Operates and maintains sewer collection systems including collections mains and pump stations.
* Troubleshoots and repairs service piping and other related equipment.
* Performs routine water quality analysis in accordance with established processes and procedures.
* Makes operational adjustments as needed to comply with state and federal water quality standards.
* Adjusts chemical treatment to ensure water quality meets standards. Calculates various ratios and dosages.
* Completes customer service work orders, updates and maintains appropriate system documentation of activities and closes work orders in accordance with department policies and procedures.
* Performs all tasks safely, professionally and in accordance with company policies and procedures as well as local, state and federal laws, rules and guidelines.

Essential Duties:
* Monitor Operations of all wastewater and water facilities, conduct testing and analysis required for proper operation and reporting for the facilities in compliance with regulatory permits.
* Responsible for making and implementing recommendations regarding process changes and facility adjustments to improve operational performance.
* Monitor collection system performance and pump stations. Make recommendations on improvements and upgrades as needed.
* Be knowledgeable of maintenance work related to mechanical equipment and minor electrical equipment associated with wastewater treatment plants and pump stations.
* Must be capable of performing plumbing and piping work with all types of materials including PVC, PE, copper, steel, and cast iron.
* Must be capable of operating and performing routine preventative maintenance of equipment; i.e. pumps, generators, compressors, jackhammers, tampers and other equipment as required.
* Must be capable of operating all tools and equipment necessary for the completion of all plant and pump station related work.
* Must be able to work on electrical components up to 240 volt including wiring power to motors, control wiring, and test basic electrical and electronic components of a system.
* Coordinate of all chemicals, fuel, parts and supplies necessary for proper operation of the facilities.
* Record on plant logs, spreadsheets, and electronically all required test results, measurements, equipment readings, and observations as specified and required by permits, standard operating procedures, and as directed by the Supervisor.
* Coordinate the removal of sludge and delivery of all chemicals, fuel, parts, and supplies necessary for the proper operation of the facilities.
* Assist with on-call responsibilities during the work week and weekends, including answering alarm calls and reporting to the facility as necessary to diagnose and address the cause of the alarms Monday through Sunday. Must be available 24 hours daily to respond to plant and system problems.
* Maintain facility records, prints, equipment manufacture manuals, and all operating data.
* As required, assist managers and supervisors in developing and administering applicable safety procedures at facilities.
* Capable of monitoring the PLC network to review the automated operation of all water and wastewater facilities, monitor alarms and review computer-generated data for proper PADEP and DMR reports, and assist in training new employees in computer automation systems.
* The position requires good mechanical skills as needed for the repair/replacement of all plant equipment, including but not limited to pumps, instruments, chemical feed equipment, etc.
* Must be able to make mathematical calculations to determine chemical doses required for flow rates and proper treatment.
* Required to meet and follow all Aqua safety requirements for hazardous chemical handling and PPE requirements.
* Assists with other tasks or projects as assigned
* Must be willing to be trained and able to provide additional operational support to other water/wastewater systems covered under the CBA.
Qualifications:
* At a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent is required.
* Must either possess or have the ability to obtain, within 48 months of the hire date, the required license for the employees' primary assignment.
* The required licenses for an employee with a primary wastewater assignment are: Class C and E wastewater with subclasses 1,3,4 (Depending on primary assigned location).
* Perform a variety of both wastewater process and mechanical tasks. Must diagnose and correct issues reactively and proactively.
* Proficient in MS office or related software required; daily use of computer, data entry
* Excellent written and verbal communications skills; communicate effectively (clearly, concisely, and professionally) with internal customers
* Required to meet and follow all Aqua safety requirements dealing with any hazards including chemical, electrical, and PPE requirements, and follow lock-out and tag-out instructions.

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
Accountable for the in-field application of policies and procedure relating to applied Radiation Protection (RP) programs. Directly manages the Radiation Protection first line Supervisors and Radiation Protection Technician activities in their daily support of plant Operations and maintenance activities.

The client-facing Facility Operations function within the Administrative Services department seeks to maximize the value and efficiency of our facilities to assure the built environment will perform the functions for which it was designed and constructed. Facility Operations provides support to other sites through collaborative and effective facilities management, maintenance and preservation strategies, ensuring performance to standards (e.g., OSHA, FE, and the department).
The Manager, Facility Operations is accountable for leading a diverse Facility Operations team of employees - 45 employees and 5 unions - in addition to managing contractors, in facility-related jobs providing safe, environmentally responsible, and fiscally judicious operations. Responsibilities include leading the team, implementing safety programs, ensuring compliance, driving financial management and reporting, applying business processes, employing records management, guiding staff development, identifying and implementing process improvement, establishing strategic facility improvement plans, working with external contractors and affecting certain facility project management. Duties include the efficient use of resources, prudent labor relation actions, and an understanding of and ability to proactively implement maintenance, technical, and business requirements and trends in the industry. The position is accountable for ensuring that certain facilities within the territory are maintained, secured in a safe manner and in compliance with regulations within budgetary guidelines provided. The position is a trusted resource to internal and external stakeholders within the department and throughout FE, respected and capable driving facility improvement strategies and, to achieve exceptional operational performance. This position will be responsible for approximately 64 facilities, with over 3.1 million square footage of facility space, across our territory within the state of Pennsylvania. • Responsible for the management of multiple large international firms supporting critical geospatial infrastructure including all gas assets, land base data, building information, addresses, and roadways within company territory

• Accurate and timely invoicing and payment of all contractor invoices and assigned ROW fees
• Manage companywide Land Right requests including quit claim deeds, ROW, easements
• Manage Survey team and requests for all field check verifications for staking, locating and preliminary requests

You Have:
• Bachelor's Degree Geographical Information System (GIS), Computer Science, or related field preferred
• 7+ Years working experience implementing GIS enterprise business solutions, survey, and/or utilities mapping database development required
• 3+ Years of direct supervisory experience
• Experience and demonstrated working knowledge in the integration of GIS with work management, network analysis, SCADA, customer information, document management systems and other relevant enterprise IT systems

This role is under the direction of the Field Supervisor and will perform a variety of activities to support the operation of water production facilities, wastewater treatment facilities, lift stations, booster stations, distribution system, and the wastewater collection system.
