By 1951, the casualty insurance industry throughout the United States recognized the success of this New York venture.
Our roots go back to 1960 with the founding of ARB, Inc. of Bakersfield, CA a pipeline construction company.
The development and administration of the arbitration program continued to dominate more time at the Combined Claims Committee meetings. As a result, in 1967, the Combined Claims Committee transferred its arbitration sponsorship to an independent committee called the Committee on Insurance Arbitration.
In 1970, the Committee on Insurance Arbitration recognized the insurance industry's need for a Property Subrogation Arbitration Forum.
The origins of ARB can be traced back to Australia’s remote Top End, circa 1975.
The Committee on Insurance Arbitration incorporated in 1981 with the corporate name of Insurance Arbitration Forums, Incorporated.
By 1981 ARB was ready to move once more, to new larger premises in Bayswater, having grown from the pairing of Tony Brown and John van den Eynden to around 24 full-time staff.
As it grew, Arbitration Forums, Inc. (AF) moved its corporate offices from New York City to Tarrytown, New York in 1983.
Insurance Arbitration Forums, Incorporated remained the corporate name until 1986 when the Board of Directors resolved to eliminate the word "insurance" from the name.
To continue on its rapid development and growth trajectory, and to further the development of the Air Locker, ARB needed more funds, so a decision was made to list the company on the stock exchange, which took place in 1987.
In 1988 ARB acquired the Old Man Emu (OME) suspension business, which it already distributed throughout Australia.
In 1992, Arbitration Forums moved to its current corporate headquarters in Tampa, Florida.
Primoris was formed in 2004 as the parent company and is traded on NASDAQ under the symbol PRIM.
In 2009, AF moved all processing and call center operations to Tampa, Florida.
The most recent addition to ARB’s canopy range is the Ascent Canopy, released in 2015, which is arguably the most advanced canopy on the market, with fully integrated central locking system, push button window switches and a unique over-rail design that provides a form fit with the vehicle.
