I'm getting a job soon, is the management nice? Would they be upset if I didn't clock in all my hours?

Does that mean that you're starting this job with no work ethic? "Not clocking in all of my hours"?

Worst order? Weirdest customer?

Worst order, hmm. We have lots of bad orders, but one time during a Sunday dinner and during a promotion where all sliders were only $1, a man ordered 45 sliders of all kinds; corned beef, ham, chicken, roast beef, etc. This forced us to shut down ordering for a good 10 minutes. The line was literally out the door and we did not catch back up until nearly a whole hour passed when it started to slow down. Weirdest customer would be one guy who, and I do not joke, did this; asked for a triple chocolate cookie, a junior vanilla shake, a roast beef classic minus the bun, and a bowl. The normal thing that any sane person would do is put the cookie and shake in a bowl and eat that, but NOPE. This guy put ALL his food into the one bowl; the 3 ounces of roast beef, the cookie, and the shake, and ATE IT, but not before adding Arby's and Bronco Berry sauce to the mix. How could that have been good?

Are you the manager of the slicer, the manager of the fryer, what manager position do you hold?

We don't have managers of that kind of stuff. We either have a shift manager, assistant manager, or general manager, in order from least to most authority.

Have you ever been employee of the month? Any crazy stories? And do you hate any coworkers?

1. We don't have employee of the month, sorry to disappoint you. I was a bit as well when I heard, and also I was a bit upset when there was no such thing as the Fry Cook Games. 2. I've got many crazy stories. One of the most memorable was this one band or something that came into the restaurant. I had only been there for a week and a half and they showed up completely unannounced in not one, but TWO, packed school busses. Only one had arrived at the time, so our manager said "Sure! We've got room for you!" and they neglected to say there was another bus. We had at least 5 orders going on 15 minutes long and I was the source of it because I had no idea what I was doing at the time. It was also a barebones crew at the time because a co-worker for that night was rushed to the hospital with terrible kidney stones and they were supposed to help me. The manager was in the back making sandwiches, drive through attendant doing fry station plus drive through, and it was all me alone up front. Luckily, everyone was pretty understanding of my "noobiness" and they didn't get angry at the long wait times. I have a few more crazy stories I'd love to share, but I have a feeling if Arby's reads them, they'll get angry at me. 3. Oh yes. Its not work without hating at least one of your co-workers. One of which is a manager who ALWAYS ALWAYS keeps me an hour later then when I am supposed to get off, making sure that I do their job for them and that the lobby is absolutely sparkling. Thing is, they are moving up to an assistant manager at a new restaurant... because this manager apparently is SO great at what they do. Another person I do not like is this one guy, who acts all buddy-buddy and never does what they are told to do, leaving me to do everything for them. And they get off squeaky clean. That seems to be all for now, lol. Sorry for the wall of text!

Who was your worst customer?

Hah, probably this one girl. We were about to close and serving a customer at the drive through; order was 100% right, but they acted like we were missing four junior roast beef sandwiches. They got nasty with me and started cursing at me, and I just walked off and found the manager at that time, who is sadly no longer working at Arby's. He went up to her and she started yelling and cursing at him over 4 sandwiches. This went on for 10 minutes before he just gave up and gave her the sandwiches to get her to leave. She was spewing out words like that she was gonna "get us someday for this" as she left. The manager and I basically exchanged glances and went along with our closing. Was funny except for when I felt like she was gonna jump over the counter and start attacking me.

9 whole months? How do you do it???

I enjoy it quite a bit! Co-workers and managers are friendly and we have lots of regular customers. I do admit, Sunday lunch can stink at times, but the rest of the week makes it worth it.

Has a man ever compared your roast beef to their wives vagina?

Never had that once happen. I have offered a turnover to a customer and he told me "Sure, you can turn me over."

I used to work at Arby's back in the 90's. Are the shake mixes still delivered in cardboard cartons? FYI, don't consume a half-carton of shake mix directly. you won't feel right. Also. do they still make you pay for your sammiches? When i worked, you could get a sammich free, at first.. oh the awesome things we would make! RB,CHX, BACON, CHEDDAR w/ onions pickles tomato and lettuce and arby & horsey sauce!

The shake mix does come in boxes now, but inside the box there are 2 awkwardly sized bags of Shake mix. I have tried a cup of the shake mix and I gotta say, it was pretty good. I'll take your word and not eat too much of it. By being employed I automatically get 50% anything that's not a coupon. But if a cooler manager is there, they will usually let you get a sandwich if you do a good job or work a long shift. Managers always eat for free though. I'll have to start trying different stuff like that, I usually just get a roast beef lol.

Why do fast food workers think they have the answers to anybody on the planets questions?

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by this. If you're referring tom the over confident and eccentric employees that you wanna shoot, then I do have an answer. Most of us are very down to earth people and its our job to be a "know it all". A lot of us deal with *** on a daily basis and the best way to deal with them is t put a smile on your face and just be polite and helpful. I hope this somewhat answers your question, if not feel free to clarify so i can be more informative.

how much do u make at arby's. how old are you? whose the oldet person there

I make minimum wage ($7.25) I am 16 years old. The oldest person was my favorite manager and one of the coolest people i ever met who was 60. Now I believe its our cleaning guy who is 50 something who has been here for over 17 years.

What could a customer do that would make your day?

For me personally I love when customers are easy going, polite and make small talk, it makes me feel appreciated, it's customers like this that I will often upgrade their fry size for free.

Does Arby's have any dark corporate secrets? What job do you perform at the restaurant? What is your biggest pet peeve at Arby's and in general? Do you have an good stories from Arby's?

- Not that I know of, and I would hope not :P - I usually work the drive-thru taking orders and handing people their food. But that changes from time to time, one day I'm working front counter and the next, I'm doing cleaning duties. - Honestly, the rar

What sort of things are going on with your rebranding?

New sandwiches, new wrappers/boxing/cups, new procedures, new uniforms, and we are changing "Slicing up freshness" to "Inspiring smiles through delicious experiences". I'm a bit upset with it because I feel a lot if it is too forced. For example, when the customers ring the "good service" bell, everyone on duty is required to yell "Delicious!" It sounds so cheesy. On the other hand, I do like the minimalist look of the cups/fry boxes and bags.

I really don't see the big deal about this. Obviously it's a horrific experience for the kid who got the sandwich, but there's not a lot that could've been done. Everyone has accidents sometimes, in this case an employee cut their finger (happens all the time), and was probably more concerned with trying to stop the bleeding than finding the bit that got cut off. There's no reason for this to even have a small effect on the reputation of an entire restaurant chain. People are just blowing *** out of proportion, as usual.

Dead on bud. But sadly there are times when groups or individuals for that matter, take a story and run with it. I don't know why they chose to reveal this whole ordeal to the media and I don't want to play the blame game. However, as an employee, I believe that the female is to some degree at fault for the situation. It is the responsibility to report an incident ASAP; if you're missing a piece of a digit or limb, you better be telling whoever takes over your backline what happened. All she had to say was "Cut my finger off on the slicer blade." Maybe 3 seconds tops? That would've said everything. Slicer could've been shut down for a thorough cleaning and there never would've been a problem. But alas, its done and you can't change it. TL;DR - People love sensationalizing. This whole thing should never have happened, and I pin it to the original employee.

To keep this Arby's-themed, when I worked there a homeless man once came in with a police officer. He informed the cop and my manager that he wanted to sue us for food poisoning. He explained that after his meal he went to the restroom and saw on the shelf beside the sink what he believed to be a "nice treat to end his meal". Instead he took a bite of red gel air-freshener. His mouth started burning so he had to take the bus to the emergency room. He only wanted money for the bus and $50 for the ER, but the cop just told him "I think they should sue you for eating their air freshener."

Where do you live that an er visit is $50
