Overview: The CNA must provide care activities for the patient as directed in the patient care plan.
Physical Requirements:
Have adequate transportation to and from job assignments accepted from CareMaster. Necessary to get in/out of vehicle, walking to/from vehicle and up/downstairs as required.
Requires full range of motions including handling, lifting, turning, and transferring adult patients and in use of equipment necessary to provide care to the patients.
Bending, squatting, walking, and standing as needed for the duration of the shift to provide necessary nursing services, personal support services, and preventive measures as required.
Be able to lift 50 pounds.
Required vision and hearing within normal range.
Required to work under stressful conditions and irregular hours as dictated by the patients of CareMaster Medical Service.
Be able to work providing services in accordance with the laws governing CNA/NA/PCA practice in the State in which services will be provided to patients of CareMaster Medical Service.

Lodi Hospital's East Wing is considered a med/surg unit that can be used for swing, rehab, observation, and inpatient care. Caregivers in this unit wear multiple hats and are known for being a flexible, versatile and small team. As a Patient Care Nurse Assistant (PCNA), your primary duties will include providing or assisting with basic patient care under the supervision of an RN, reporting abnormal findings and changes in patients' condition and keeping patients' rooms clean and orderly. This is an excellent opportunity to receive hands-on experience while providing exceptional care to our patients, ensuring the best health outcomes.
A caregiver in this position works nights from 7:00 p.m. - 7:30 a.m. with every other weekend and 3 holidays per year requirements.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Provide or assist with patient care under the supervision of an RN. Patient care may include vital signs, weight, assisting patients with personalcare and activities of daily living, patient transfers/transport, pulse oximetry, point of care testing, dressing changes, applying external monitoring devices and removing urinary Foley catheter.
Report abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to an RN.
Assist with keeping patients' rooms clean and orderly.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
High School Diploma or GED
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within new hire period. Nursing students must have prior to hire.
Nursing students who have recently completed a minimum of one clinical rotation as part of an accredited nursing school program may substitute the clinical rotation for the required experience.
Military experience as a Hospital Corpsman (HM), Combat Medic (68W) or Medical Service Technician (4N0X1) will be considered
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
* State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA)
Physical Requirements:
Requires full body motion to move and lift patients, manual finger dexterity with good eye-hand coordination; involves extensive standing and walking.

The H51 Colorectal Surgery unit is part of Cleveland Clinic's Digestive Disease Institute. Caregivers on this unit are dedicated to providing world-class care to patients experiencing Chron's Disease, ulcerative colitis, colon cancer and genetic bowel disease.
This unit is one of a few in the world dedicated to the care of colorectal surgery patients, and caregivers receive invaluable experience with complicated medical histories, complex dressings, innovative surgical procedures, pain modalities and comprehensive nutritional support. Our experienced staff is excited to educate and mentor caregivers who begin their career on H51.
A caregiver in this position works a day/night rotation from 7:00am to 7:30pm and 7:00pm to 7:30am.

A caregiver in this position works 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. with every other weekend and 3 holidays per year requirements.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Prepare units, patient rooms and patient beds for receiving patient admission, returning surgical patients, transfers or emergencies.

A caregiver in this position works days from 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m., including every other weekend and 3 holidays per year.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
* Prepare units, patient rooms and patient beds for receiving patient admission, returning surgical patients, transfer or emergencies.
* Provide and document assigned care, such as bathing, changing/refreshing bed linens, dressing/undressing, feeding, etc.
* Take and document the patient's temperature, pulse, respirations, blood pressure, pulse oximetry, weight and height.
* Perform treatment procedures, such as venous blood draws, enemas, application of ice and heat packs, non-sterile compresses, skin preps, setting up oxygen equipment, bed scale weights, setting up overhead trapeze and Buck's traction.
* Assist with pre-operative and post-operative care, such as turning and positioning patients with proper body mechanics, applying/utilizing special equipment and ambulating the patient as directed in a safe, prescribed manner.
* Assist and accompany patients during admission, transfer and discharge.
* Perform hourly safety rounds, anticipate patient needs and respond to patient call lights promptly.
* Document patient care in the electronic medical record.
* Complete ongoing competency requirements, education programs and mandatory training to maintain certification and/or licensure.
* Prepare patients for meals, assists in feeding patients if necessary and distribute water and other nourishments according to patient needs in compliance with physician orders.
* Collect, properly label and transport specimens to proper area in timely manner.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
* High School Diploma or GED
* Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross upon or within new hire period
* Basic computer knowledge and skills
* Military experience as a Hospital Corpsman (HM), Combat Medic (68W) or Medical Service Technician (4N0X1) will be considered
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
* State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA)
* One year of recent acute care experience
Physical Requirements:
* Requires full body motion to move and lift patients, manual finger dexterity with good eye-hand coordination; involves extensive standing and walking.
* Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
* Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
Personal Protective Equipment:
* Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required
