This position is a full-time on-site project role that will join our growing team of Data Center construction and Mission Critical project professionals. The MEP Inspector will support a variety of industrial and commercial construction projects that may include pre-construction, construction, start-up/commissioning, and coordination with electrical power distribution systems, conduit and wiring; voice/tele/data systems; instrumentation and control systems. The Electrical Inspector will assist the project team in identifying deficient work performed by the General Contractor (GC) and its subcontractors, review submittals and look-ahead schedules, perform equipment inspections, and manage deficiency logs via Procore. The Inspector will support the Quality Assurance Team throughout all phases of construction, leading up to handoff Our ideal candidate will have experience in performing and coordinating trade work construction; reviewing and responding to Contractor RFI's, shop drawings/submittals, and as-built drawing preparation, and coordination of required inspections. The MEP inspector will be a key member driving construction quality and supporting on-time, on-budget delivery. Role accountabilities: * Review project basis of design and specifications, compile comments, and participate in project readiness sync meetings * Develop inspection and checklist templates to ensure build quality compliance * Schedule and lead quality control meetings with the GC and other contractors * Review and ensure compliance with the GC's QC Plan, Testing and Inspection Plan, and Equipment Protection Plan * Conduct thorough inspections and maintain documentation via Procore * Verify equipment installation and ensure compliance with contract documents * Review RFIs and ensure comprehensive, multi-disciplinary responses * Perform weekly reviews of the GC's schedule compliance * Validate SCCS, breaker settings, and arc flash labels * Review NETA Test Reports and witness the GC's FOD inspection process * Provide weekly reports to the Quality Control Engineer * Ensure all observations are closed out and provide a final quality control report Qualifications & Experience: * 5+ years' of Electrical Inspection experience, or 10+ years in commercial field inspection * Proven experience in quality assurance and quality control in construction projects * Familiarity with Procore or similar project management software * Strong understanding of construction standards, codes, and regulations * Excellent communication and organizational skills * Ability to work collaboratively with project teams and stakeholders * Valid Driver's License required Why Arcadis?
