Skills & Experience: Successful candidates will bring hands-on experience in structural design for water/wastewater infrastructure projects, with proficiency in STAAD Pro and working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit. A solid understanding of applicable codes and standards-such as the International Building Code (IBC) and American Concrete Institute (ACI) guidelines-is essential. You should be comfortable preparing and reviewing technical drawings, specifications, calculations, cost estimates, and schedules, and possess strong written and verbal communication skills. Role description: Arcadis is looking for a Senior Water & Hydraulic Engineer to join our world-class firm working within our Water Resiliency Planning & Design Teams. This hybrid role can be based in any of our Ohio locations including Cincinnati, Toledo, Cleveland or Akron, OH As a Senior Water & Hydraulic Engineer, you will leverage your expertise in hydraulics, collection system planning, and computer modeling, combined with data analytics, to guide local project teams. You will play a key role in leading projects, mentoring junior staff, and developing new business opportunities. Your work will help protect natural resources while contributing to climate change adaptation and urban resiliency. Role Accountabilities This role will develop wastewater and stormwater collection system models, conducting system planning, and performing regulatory studies. In addition, this role will provide valuable technical input on new and ongoing projects, guide technical teams, and help ensure the successful delivery of projects. Additional duties include: * Develop and review of technical reports, * Lead client presentations, coordinating project deliverables, and contributing to scope definition and project pursuits. * Enhance the technical knowledge within the team by attending workshops, presenting at industry events, and reviewing professional publications. * Travel may be required for site visits, client meetings, or project oversight. Required Qualifications * Minimum of 7 years of experience in water and hydraulic engineering * Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering * Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or a Professional Engineer (PE) license, or the ability to obtain one within one year of hire. * Strong experience with hydraulic modeling, particularly using SWMM and/or ICM, is essential, along with proficiency in GIS. Key Skills and Attributes * Excellent communication skills, both oral and written and a deep understanding of wastewater hydraulic modeling and master planning Preferred Qualifications * Master's degree * Project delivery experience and familiarity with computer programming tools like Power BI or Python.
