Role description: Arcadis is searching for a Regional Water/Wastewater Practice Leader to join our Resilience-Water Business Area to lead and direct the development of water and wastewater treatment projects in our Southeast area. The Regional Practice Leader will work with other nationally recognized technical staff and will utilize their expertise and technical knowledge of Water/Wastewater design & construction. This is a 'hands-on' role with an expectation to collaborate with various Arcadis locations and support projects and client development activities nationwide. Role accountabilities: * Direct and oversee quality assurance and control of water / wastewater treatment projects. Provide technical expertise as QA/QC reviewer or technical advisor to ensure compliance with contracts, drawings, specifications, codes, statutes, rules, and regulations, as well as Arcadis' quality and safety practices. * Lead knowledge transfer and development of staff within area of expertise. * Supervise and support the work of others while mentoring junior and mid-level engineers and technical staff and ensuring the development of Arcadis' capability in the discipline(s). * Manage technical coordination and leadership role on larger or complex projects, or projects with higher associated risk. * Working closely with a Arcadis Certified Project Manager, oversee and/or lead the technical delivery of very large projects, complex projects, or specialized projects ensuring client satisfaction, and good communication and collaboration between Arcadis colleagues. * Support marketing and proposal phases of projects including preparation of and participation in winning proposals and interviews, as well as developing scopes of work and budgets. * Build and maintain a strong professional reputation as an individual and for Arcadis. Keep up to date with developments in the industry sector and with technical and legislative developments and seek out opportunities to develop a strong professional profile at a regional level (e.g., conference presentations, publications, and participation in technical committees). * Actively engage with Southeast client account teams, supporting the expansion of business development opportunities and client relationships to strategically grow Arcadis' Southeast portfolio, leveraging existing and new client relationships. Some travel will be required. Qualifications & Experience: Required Qualifications: * Minimum 20 years of water / wastewater treatment experience. * Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related field of study. * Professional Engineer (PE) License and ability to obtain license by reciprocity in other states as needed. Key Attributes: The ideal candidate will have team leadership experience, including managing overall project delivery expectations, prioritizing tasks, and mentoring team members. They should possess technical expertise and experience with water and wastewater treatment projects. Strong client management skills are essential, particularly in the preparation and development of proposals and interviews. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required, along with strong relationship management abilities. Preferred qualifications: Preferred candidates will have over 25 years of experience in water, wastewater, and stormwater projects at a comparable engineering firm. A Master's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, or a related field of study, is highly desirable. Candidates should demonstrate knowledge of and experience working with local clients in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, and/or Alabama. Active participation in regional or national professional associations is preferred, as well as prior experience in a regional role with a proven ability to collaborate across regional teams. We offer nine paid holidays and 20 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $80,461 - $132,761.
