Position Summary
The Claims Division is seeking a team member to join the Shared Services Team as a Claims Examiner. Responsibilities include investigating, evaluating and resolving various types of commercial first and third party low complexity claims. This requires accurate and thorough documentation, as well as completion of resolution action plans based upon the applicable law, coverage and supporting evidence.
Responsibilities:
* Provide and maintain exceptional customer service and ongoing communication to the appropriate stakeholders through the life of the claim including prompt contact and follow up to complete timely and accurate investigation, damage evaluation and claim resolution in accordance with regulatory, company standards, and authority level
* Conduct thorough investigation of coverage, liability and damages; must document facts and maintain evidence to support claim resolution
* Review and analyze supporting damage documentation
* Comply and stay abreast of all statutory and regulatory requirements in all applicable jurisdictions
* Establish appropriate loss and expense reserves with documented rationale
* Demonstrate technical efficiency through timely and consistent execution of best claim handling practices and guidelines
Experience & Qualifications
* Hands-on experience and strong aptitude with Outlook, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
* Knowledge of ImageRight preferred
* Exceptional communication (written and verbal), influencing, evaluation, listening, and interpersonal skills to effectively develop productive working relationships with internal/external peers and other professionals across organizational lines
* Ability to take part in active strategic discussions and leverage technical knowledge to make cost-effective decisions
* Strong time management and organizational skills; ability to adhere to both internal and external regulatory timelines
* Ability to work well independently and in a team environment
* Texas Claim Adjuster license preferred, but not required for posting. Upon employment candidate would be required to obtain Texas Claim Adjuster license within six months of hire date.
Education
* Bachelor's degree preferred
* 3-5 years' experience handling the process of commercial insurance claims

About This Role
Observe and assist with risk assessments, pricing evaluations, and relationship management activities for the MidCorp Middle Market Solutions underwriting team.
Support team in underwriting and evaluating Natural Catastrophe Accumulation, demonstrating an understanding of catastrophe modeling and interpretation of scenarios.
Learn concepts of how to underwrite in line with LoB governance framework - e.g. Underwriting Authorities, global MSU, Underwriting Guidelines, Rules and Principles.
Learn and leverage risk selection and pricing tools.
Support policy documentation and administration.
Support completion of policy administration and credit control processes.
Qualifications

Job Overview:
The Information Technology Risk Manager is an individual contributor who ensures the 2nd line of defense (2LoD) operational risk management of a Clearing business process or an operational risk type. Overview
The Principal, SOD/RBAC (Segregation/Separation of Duties & Role-Based Access Control) is responsible for implementing and overseeing a governance framework for SOD and RBAC at Northern Trust. Under general supervision, the Registered Associate is responsible for managing client relationships of one or more Financial Advisors. The associate acts as a liaison between clients, Financial Advisors and internal partners to respond to client needs and/or requests. Utilizes an understanding of the investment industry and relevant financial markets to provide exceptional customer service and support development of investment strategies based on individual client objectives and market trends. The key responsibilities of the role:
Responsible for day-to-day client servicing. Includes account opening, account servicing and maintenance as well as trade execution. Onboards new client relationships through correspondence, reports, new account paperwork, and advisory agreements.
Supports Financial Advisor(s) in the process of evaluating investment objectives to provide guidance to clients as appropriate given risk tolerance, income needs, and current market environment.

A College or University degree is preferred.

Knowledge :In depth knowledge of supply chain management and procurement. Demonstrated experience in sourcing for indirect categories (e.g. IT). Strong analytical, sourcing, negotiation and communication skills. Technically adept with basic application software; proficient in MS Office Suites with advanced Excel skills. Experience with ERP system/ Peoplesoft. Demonstrated success in time management; superior project management skills, attention to detail; thorough and organized.
Experience :Bachelors Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or Finance and six or more years experience in Sourcing or Procurement related field or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. MBA or other advanced degree and a professional Procurement/ Supply Chain Management designation (e.g. CSCP, CPM) are a strong plus.
Salary Range:
$83,100 - 141,300 USD
Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits.
