DUTIES:
Observing Residents
Reporting any health issues to the supervising nurse
Taking care of a Resident's personal hygiene, including bed bath, shaving, etc.
Setting up of meal trays, and documenting food/fluid intake
Feeding Residents & serving nutritional supplements
Making beds & keeping the Residents' space clean and tidy
Transporting Residents within the Facility
Turning bedridden residents to prevent bedsores
Maintaining Confidentiality of all Resident & Facility data
REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to work as a team member
Successful completion of a CNA program
Current CNA State Certification
Must be in good standing with State Registry

The anticipated pay range for candidates who will work in California is
$19.50 to $22.00 hourly
. The offered pay to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to years of experience within the job, years of experience within the required industry, education, etc.

Responsibilities:
Use equipment correctly and safely in performing patient/resident care.
Follow infection control techniques in performing patient/resident care.
Observe and reports signs and symptoms of changes in condition.
Prioritize patient/resident activities based on current care needs.
Maintain all documentation as required by Federal and State regulations and Company policy.
Perform all duties in a safe and efficient manner.
Wear safety equipment as required for the job; report any safety hazards and/or accidents to supervisor.

Job Title: SONHP CNA _ Clinical Instructor The Certified Nurse Assistant Training (CNA) was developed and implemented in Fall 2014 by Rev. Timothy S. Godfrey, SJ, to provide low-income high school students from Cristo Rey Schools an opportunity to gain experience, skills, and a certification upon which to build their future professional healthcare careers. This program targets students considering nursing or other healthcare professions. It seeks to diversify the healthcare workforce by creating a pipeline for students from underserved communities who may not otherwise consider a healthcare career.
The CNA Program aligns with the mission of the University of San Francisco School of Nursing and Health Professions (SONHP) and the Cristo Rey network schools in assisting students to discover and develop their full potential, to seek academic excellence, and to use their talents and gifts in the service of others. The community partners share in this commitment, specifically to develop skilled and compassionate healthcare professionals.
The CNA Program is part of the SONHP, which provides administrative and instructional support for the program.
Full Job Description:
The Clinical Instructor will lead the CA DPH CNA program licensing process, complete the necessary documentation -including the curriculum, modules, and team -and be responsible for keeping the license up-to-date.
When the program is active, the Clinical Instructor plans and teaches the theory modules and supervises the students during their clinical experience. They evaluate each student according to the school's grading standard and work with students to make up any missed classes or clinical experiences. The Instructor reviews the students' progress with the school's Principal at mutually agreeable points throughout the curriculum and will notify the Principal of any concerns regarding student performance.
The Clinical Instructor educates and evaluates the students according to the guidelines provided by the state.
Position goal: Relaunch and implement the USF CNA program.
Time: November and December, 16 hours per week

Report directly to the SONHP Director for Partnerships and Communications
Minimum Qualifications:
* The Clinical Instructor is a certified registered nurse with at least one year of nursing experience in an acute care setting.
