Construction Superintendents are responsible for the production aspects of the work and are accountable for: producing quality work that is constructed consistent with the standards set forth in the projects contract documents; for performing the work in a timely and cost-effective manner and for maintaining a work environment that is safe and continuously kept clean and orderly. Duties and Responsibilities Typical duties include managing multiple trade disciplines (Electrical, plumbing, mechanical, finishes, etc.) subcontractors engaged in field construction activities. Reviewing drawings, Assisting with scope of work development, Developing and following project schedules, Attend and lead client weekly progress meetings, coordinating and scheduling sub-contractors Obtain, submit and follow up with material submittals and shop drawings, perform site lay out, Review sub-contractors on site performance for safe work practices, perform daily progress reports, Photo documentation of project activities. Assist with quantity take-offs for proposal development, Tracking monthly sub-contractor hours, Assist with as-builts and close out documents. Approving sub-contractor payment applications. May require climbing a ladder or heavy lifting of materials as required. Qualifications and Skills Requirements 5-years current experience as lead superintendent on commercial, educational and/or government projects. Must have a solid work history. Overall working knowledge of various trades. Experienced in interior and exterior projects. College preferred but not required. Skilled in Microsoft Project, Adobe, Word, and Excel. Prefer experience with e-Builder, Kahua and /or other client document retention programs. OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 preferred. Must be able to work various projects simultaneously. Must work well with others and follow the chain of command. Candidate will be drug screened. Must pass required drug testing and medical evaluation and have a good driving record.
