Vantor is seeking an experienced Solutions Architect to lead the design, integration, and evolution of a comprehensive knowledge management platform - one that unifies AI-driven insights, data engineering, ontology development, and core application sustainment. Responsibilities:
Strategic & Architectural Leadership
· Engage directly with users and senior mission stakeholders to understand analytical, operational, and collaboration challenges.

· Work with data scientists to prototype, evaluate, and deploy AI models tailored to classified and secure settings.
· Establish LLMOps and model governance practices to ensure performance, explainability, and compliance with security and mission standards.
Data & Knowledge Architecture
· Collaborate with data engineering teams to design data pipelines, ETL processes, and metadata management frameworks.
· Lead the development and maintenance of ontologies, taxonomies, and semantic data models that enable cross-domain intelligence sharing and discovery.
· Ensure data interoperability and accessibility across systems, with a focus on data provenance and quality.
Platform Development & Sustainment
· Oversee software engineering efforts for the knowledge management platform, including API integration, user interface design, and system sustainment.
· Coordinate with DevSecOps teams to ensure seamless deployment, monitoring, and accreditation of systems.
· Support continuous improvement of platform performance, scalability, and usability.
· Mentor engineering teams and foster collaboration across AI, data, and software disciplines.
Stakeholder & Mission Engagement
· Regularly interface with technical and non-technical government stakeholders to communicate architecture decisions, technical trade-offs, and AI impacts.
· Provide expert guidance on the responsible, secure, and mission-aligned adoption of AI technologies.
Minimum Qualifications:
· TS/SCI with current CI polygraph.
· For a mid, have 6 years of experience with relevant experience within the last 2 years and a master's degree in computer science, mathematics, physics, statistics, operations research, engineering or equivalent technical fields. Degree may be substituted with an additional 6 years of experience.
· For a senior, have 10 years of experience with relevant experience within the last 2 years & a master's Degree in Computer Science, mathematics, physics, statistics, operations research, engineering, or equivalent technical field. · Proven experience leading complex, multi-component software systems, ideally involving AI/ML, data engineering, and cloud-based architecture.

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Enterprise Collaboration & Information Architect to take ownership of the information architecture, data governance, and compliance strategy for our primary cloud-based content platforms: Enterprise Box and Google Workspace (with a focus on Google Drive/Shared Drives).
This is a critical, technical role responsible for transforming our shared file structures from an ad hoc system into a secure, organized, and scalable enterprise content management framework. The successful candidate will leverage their background in managing large-scale, structured environments (e.g., SharePoint Site Collections, Enterprise Content Management (ECM) platforms) to design and enforce best-practice architecture in Box and Google Workspace.
This is an onsite role in our McLean, VA office.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of a logical, closed structure folder taxonomy and content classification model across Box and Google Shared Drives to optimize content retrieval, security, and scalability
* Apply established Enterprise Content Management (ECM) principles, including deep experience with metadata, site hierarchy, and content types from platforms like SharePoint, to the implementation of taxonomy and data structures in Box and Google Drive
* Define, document, and enforce policies for data classification, data retention, legal hold, and lifecycle management within the collaboration platforms, ensuring alignment with internal compliance standards and regulatory requirements
* Architect and govern the security and permissions models (e.g., Shared Link policies, folder access, external sharing) utilizing experience with complex security models to ensure robust least-privilege access

Basic Qualifications
* A minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in a dedicated Information Architect, Data Governance, or Senior Systems Analyst role focused on large-scale Enterprise Content Management (ECM) or Collaboration Platforms is required.
* Must possess a strong architectural background in at least one major ECM/Collaboration platform, demonstrating mastery of the core concepts of content management, taxonomy, and security hierarchy (e.g., SharePoint Site Architecture, Document Management Systems, or other structured file systems).
* Demonstrated expertise in administering and architecting either Enterprise Box, Google Workspace, or similar ECM platforms
* Deep familiarity with data governance concepts (classification, retention, eDiscovery) and the ability to apply security and compliance controls to collaboration data is essential.
* Exceptional strategic thinking, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex governance and architectural concepts to both technical staff and business leadership, are necessary.
