Ai Solution Architect
Architect job in Denver, CO
Senior AI Solutions Architect
Client: Leading telecommunications and media company
Duration: Long-term contract
Employment Type: W2 Contract
Rate: $95/hr.
About the Opportunity
Our client, a major telecommunications provider, is launching a transformative AI initiative to modernize their customer experience platform. This is their first customer-facing generative AI application, designed to deliver personalized, intelligent customer support across multiple channels including mobile app, web, and voice.
This is a high-visibility, strategic initiative with executive sponsorship and cross-organizational collaboration. The project aims to consolidate existing customer interaction technologies into a unified, AI-powered conversational platform that will serve millions of customers.
The Role
We're seeking a Senior AI Solutions Architect who can lead the architectural design and implementation of a production-scale agentic AI system. This isn't a prototype or proof-of-concept - you'll be architecting a mission-critical platform that needs to operate 24/7 with enterprise-grade reliability, security, and performance.
You'll work alongside system integrator partners and internal technical teams to make critical architectural decisions, design integration patterns with existing enterprise systems, and ensure the solution can scale to meet demanding business requirements.
This role requires someone who has actually built complex AI systems in production - not just designed them on paper. You understand the "unsexy" realities of production AI: integration challenges, latency requirements, monitoring and observability, data governance, and operational excellence.
What You'll Do
Lead architectural design for customer-facing agentic AI platform
Make critical technology and platform decisions for cloud-based AI infrastructure
Design integration patterns with existing enterprise contact center technologies
Define data pipeline architecture to support low-latency conversational AI
Establish governance, security, and compliance frameworks for customer-facing AI
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data engineers, ML engineers, and business stakeholders
Provide technical leadership and guidance to implementation teams
Present architectural recommendations and trade-off decisions to senior leadership
Required Qualifications
Experience & Background:
15+ years of hands-on experience designing and deploying complex enterprise systems
Proven track record as Solutions Architect or Enterprise Architect with production AI/ML implementations
Experience architecting customer-facing applications that operate at significant scale
Led cross-functional engineering teams through complete solution lifecycles
Multi-cloud expertise (AWS, GCP, Azure) with infrastructure-as-code practices
Technical Expertise:
Production AI/ML system architecture and deployment
Cloud platform architecture (GCP experience highly valued)
Integration architecture: APIs, microservices, event-driven systems
Data pipeline design and orchestration
DevOps/MLOps practices: CI/CD, monitoring, observability, governance
Infrastructure technologies: Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, GitOps
AI/ML Depth:
Experience with LLMs, conversational AI, or agentic AI systems in production
Understanding of AI frameworks: TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face
Vector databases and retrieval systems
Model deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management
Responsible AI principles and practices
Highly Valued:
Contact center or customer experience technology background
Enterprise system modernization/consolidation projects
Experience working with large system integrators
Telecommunications or media industry experience
What Makes You Stand Out
You're not just someone who can recite AI buzzwords or list certifications. You're an architect who:
Builds systems people can rely on - You've taken AI from prototype to production and know what it takes to operate at scale
Makes informed trade-offs - You can articulate why you chose one architectural approach over another and defend those decisions
Consumes complexity and delivers clarity - You can process large amounts of technical information and distill it into actionable architectural decisions
Understands production realities - You know that production AI involves logging, health checks, rate limits, security, governance - not just cool models
Communicates effectively - You can explain complex technical concepts to both technical teams and business stakeholders
Values pragmatism over perfection - You focus on delivering scalable, reliable solutions rather than over-engineering
Why This Opportunity
High-impact project: First customer-facing generative AI platform for a Fortune 500 company
Architectural leadership: Shape technology decisions for a multi-year strategic initiative
Executive visibility: Work on a program with C-suite sponsorship and attention
Meaningful challenge: Build something that will serve millions of customers and transform how a major company operates
Long-term engagement: This is a substantial program with expansion phases beyond initial launch
Professional growth: Work with cutting-edge AI technologies in a real production environment
Next Steps
If you're an experienced architect who has built complex AI systems in production and wants to lead a transformative initiative for a major enterprise, we want to hear from you.
Please submit your resume highlighting:
Specific examples of AI/ML systems you've architected in production
Your experience with cloud platforms (especially GCP)
Complex integration or enterprise modernization projects you've led
Your approach to architectural decision-making
