Essential Job Summary::
The Landfill Engineer positions will play a key role in ensuring the efficient operation of our landfill. In this position you will be part of landfill operations, regulatory permitting and compliance, construction, and environmental management systems.
Essential Job Functions: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.:
Provide technical support on various landfill systems associated with the waste disposal site.
Develop an understanding of all permits governing the construction and operation of landfill disposal sites and waste transfer stations to ensure site is in compliance.
Work with professional consulting firms in preparation of compliance reports and permitting and construction documents.
Provide quality assurance of work submitted by consulting firms for adherence to regulatory requirements and site operations.
Landfill construction (cell and other) contract administration, materials order and delivery, contractor scheduling, CQA oversight, etc.
Manage the preparation, review, and/or submittal of engineering, monitoring and environmental reports.
Lead environmental reviews, audits, and inspections with regulators, customers and corporate.
Work with operations team to formulate short-term and long-term goals and action plans in alignment.
Identify and estimate the cost of site capital needs and follow-through with inclusion in annual budget exercises.
Interact with state and local agencies to foster positive working relationships and to insure efficient and effective compliance with regulations.
Review of waste profiles for adherence to our waste acceptance plan and coordination with our sales team operations teams for receipt of special waste.
Complete monthly soil tracking reports and other status reports.
Requirements and Qualifications::
Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering.
Three (3) to Seven (7) years of experience in landfill related engineering.
Strong verbal, written, computer communication and organization skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

The Executive Assistant to the CEO plays a critical role within GCSC/DC by serving as a trusted partner, strategic organizer, and operational force multiplier for the Chief Executive Officer. What You'll Do
Act as the CEO's primary partner in managing time, priorities, and workflow
Own and manage a complex executive calendar and coordinate high-level meetings and travel

Coordinate Board and committee meetings, including materials, logistics, and minutes

Proposes streamlined processes to create efficiencies.
Review all FOIA responses compiled by HCV staff.
Represents CHA at public presentations and department and/or divisional meetings.
Responsible for leading fair housing, policy, enforcement and customer service staff.
Explore integrating Trauma Informed Care into agency policies.

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree is required with coursework in Public Policy, Public Administration, Real Estate Management or Business Administration or a related field, or 8 - 12 years of experience in management in core CHA disciplines (such as housing, policy law, or real estate). Master's Degree preferred. Demonstrated ability to navigate and excel in the complex regulatory federal environment is required.
The ideal candidate will be required to test their knowledge of the HCV program and to demonstrate an 85% or greater achievement on HCV Certification and Fair Housing examinations. The successful candidate will also possess strong facilitation and negotiation skills, excellent analytical and organizational skills, commitment to excellence in customer service, effective communication and time-management skills, and Microsoft Office and Excel proficiency. Demonstrated ability to learn and quickly develop facility with software commonly used in real estate and financial reporting, such as Yardi.

This training consists of basic law enforcement skills, immigration laws, firearms training, examination of cargo/bags/merchandise, physical fitness, etc. Candidates assigned to the southern border, Miami, or Puerto Rico duty locations must attend and pass an online Spanish training program, which will be completed at their home port. Successful completion of the Academy is required for this position.

Education and Training:
Bachelor's Degree in a healthcare related field preferred; will consider a combination of education and 3 to 5 years work experience in Accreditation and/or Regulatory Affairs.
Training/work experience in Quality monitoring, Accreditation and/or Regulatory compliance.
Skills and Experience:
1. Minimum of 3 years of experience in the home care setting in a clinical, quality improvement, medical billing, or regulatory compliance capacity.
2. Working knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid regulations.
3. Knowledge of DMEPOS/Pharmacy/Home Health/Hospice Accreditation a big plus.
