The Position
We are seeking an experienced Landscape Architect/Designer with 8-15 years of experience to join our team at Hitchcock Design Group. The Principal Network Design Architect will act as the subject matter expert and arbitrator on design, engineering, architecture issues relating to networks, routers, switches, servers, gateways, and the security enforcing functions applied to these system and service components. Education and Experience
The Systems Architect typically needs a combination of education, training, certifications and skills. This role requires the following:
MS in Engineering, Physical Sciences or Mathematics
Minimum of 5 years' experience in product development
Minimum of 5 years' experience in engineering or physics
Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a diverse team
Strong ability to manage projects and deliver work assignments on time, within budget and at top quality
Demonstrated experience generating technical documentation such as requirements, specifications, engineering report, plans and procedures
Significant knowledge with requirements management software tools

Responsibilities
The Senior Landscape Architect will work collaboratively in a team setting on the development of conceptual designs, the production of construction and permit drawings as well as on-site construction administration. Projects will include a wide range of landscape projects including land development, commercial and resort design, streetscapes, parks, and entry features as well as federal, state and local government projects.
Client Management
Attend scoping meetings with clients
Prepare fee proposals
Client coordination
Review project billing
Project Management
Provide design/technical guidance to Designers and Project Managers and oversee the development of design packages including:
Landscape Plans
Irrigation Plans
Hardscape Plans
Site Amenity Plans
Prepare detailed opinion of construction cost estimates
Review Inspection reports
Provide quality control reviews of work products
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited university
Minimum 15 years' related experience with current licensure
Must understand the relationship between design and constructability
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Exceptional organizational skills
Proficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
