Blue Planet is looking for team-oriented developer who is excited by solving complex problems. We want developers that enjoy developing modular software designed to scale and built to last. As a Blue Planet Developer, you will handle a wide array of tasks ranging from design, development, unit testing, documentation and analysis. You will produce high-quality code for large-scale applications in carrier class networks and cloud-based environments. It is a demanding role that requires execution excellence and focus on priorities and project plans.
What you will do as a Blue Planet Inventory Software Developer?
Your primary activities shall include:
Design Blue Planet solutions with the Delivery Architect and Project team in creating network, service topology and visualizations for telecommunication/networking technologies Participate and support customer discussions to understand requirements, clarifications for implementation and conduct user acceptance.Write and maintain solution documentation Implement Project solutions in Java, Spring, Neo4J, JSON, REST, JUnit, Angular, DroolsWrite and optimize database (Neo4J, SQL) queries and procedures Write and support configuration management scripts for Blue Planet's CI/CD processes Create device and service models for telecommunication/networking technologies such as DWDM/OTN, SONET, MPLS, GPON, FTTH, etc.Continually train in new technologies and Blue Planet products Should be able to manage infrastructure automation using terraform and integrate it into the deployment pipeline.

Required Skills and Experience:
Domain: OSS, Inventory, COTS product (Amdocs Cramer/Granite/Netcracker) domain experience.Technologies: Java/J2EE, REST, JSON, Angular 2+, AWS/RHELDatabase: Neo4j (graph DB), SQL DBTelecommunication technology background (SONET, HFC, Wireless, DWDM, Ethernet, 5G) and how these technologies are represented in OSS Inventory and Automation systems Background in implementing enterprise-level software solutions for mission-critical OSS systems.Experience in vendor Professional Service organizations working on fast-paced projects Software Development Lifecycle: Waterfall, and Agile, Oracle Unified Method (OUM)

Responsibilities

+ Review the current architecture of technical and business processes and recommend ways increase their business value

+ Use Collibra analyze data within the data sets of the organization to plan and execute end-to-end solutions using Collibra products

+ Work closely with strategic partners and other key stakeholders across the program to look for ways to increase interoperability within Collibra communities

+ Review internal requirements and integrate them into the revised Collibra plans

+ Help execute the revised implementation plan to deliver milestones on schedule

+ Integrate Collibra implementation plans into "NextGEN" and "Admin Data Hub" plans

+ Identify resource gaps in the Collibra implementation and ongoing maintenance plans

+ Lead the design of the Collibra community and operating model to easily share and reuse common metadata, coding and processes between systems and communities

+ Implement use cases including setting up any integrations and workflows needed to automate this work in the tool

+ Participate in the development of key policies and guidelines (e.g., Data Quality, Data Definition, Data Creation)

+ Help create internal governance for Collibra product changes and decisions

+ Work with the business to define the data domains and identify critical data elements

+ Determine decision boundaries between the data domains and validate with data owners

+ Integrate data standards and policies into the platform to define how data assets should be managed

+ Define control measurements and access needs to secure sensitive metadata

+ Identify key metrics to track and understand user adoption and usage statistics

+ Identify the priority for onboarding and registering data in the catalog according to business needs

+ Implement a metadata registry and define the process where metadata can be stored and maintained in a structured and controlled manner in the cloud

+ Document the data value chain highlighting governance opportunities that reflect users needs based on the DCAM assessment results

+ Translate the business capabilities into data management capabilities for future plans

+ Help identify new roles needed to support the product and training/competency needs

+ Incorporate data architecture standards and best practices into the data strategy

+ Create process for valuation and prioritization of data assets

+ Translate business data pain points into relevant use cases and identify data management capabilities needed to fully address them

+ Develop and design presentations, reports, and other deliverables

+ Develop and maintain a project plan to track progress and ensure timely delivery

+ Conduct a weekly status meeting with key stakeholders and provide a status report

+ Present at monthly executive briefing and provide report out on Collibra implementation

Qualifications

+ A minimum of 7 years of overall enterprise technology experience, enterprise data architecture vision, and an understanding of the data management framework

+ As well as architecture design and deployment experience, an understanding of systems lifecycle management, Agile, and infrastructure planning and operations

+ 5+ years of experience in a leadership position on a Data Governance team development

+ 3+ years technical, hands-on experience with Collibra data governance tool

+ Expert knowledge of Collibra - Ranger certification is a plus

+ Strong command of the implementation and administration of:

+ Collibra Data Catalog

+ Collibra Data Lineage

+ Collibra Data Quality

+ Experience configuring Collibra Data Catalog platform

+ Strong business and/or technical analysis background

+ Excellent interpersonal skills, accountability, problem solving skills, written and verbal communication and presentation skills, time management and project management skills

+ Experience in agile methodology, techniques, and frameworks, such as Scrum, Kanban, to deliver solutions

+ Experience with data modeling (conceptual, logical, physical) and understanding of ETL/ELT processes design and infrastructure administration

+ Ability to work independently with minimal direction including the organization and prioritization of tasks to meet deadlines and goals

+ Experience with federal requirements for records management, information security, privacy, and risk assessment standards including NARA, FISMA, SOX, FedRAMP, etc.

+ Advanced knowledge of data governance and data management concepts and solutions (e.g., metadata management, data stewardship, data lineage, data quality, etc.)

+ Knowledge of designing a business glossary to improve business understanding and context of data

+ Knowledge and experience applying EDM Council's DCAM and CDMC methodologies

+ Experience in federal data strategy, data management and data governance best practices and policies

+ Ability to explain value of data governance to both business and technical stakeholders

+ Experience monitoring business processes and data governance rules to validate synchronization

+ Experience working with data owners and business users through participation in data stewardship committees to identify and implement new repeatable and reliable businesses processes for managing a single version of the truth

+ Experience delivering training for data stewards needed to support the new Collibra processes, develop initial metadata ingestion approach(es), and perform initial ingestion of metadata

+ Experience supporting several engagements with Collibra, integrating metadata and data lineage into Collibra from various sources including ETL tools

+ Experience identifying new requirements and integrating them into use cases for the Collibra solution that will support the governance strategy and roadmap

+ Proficient at documenting the configuration of Collibra

+ Experience setting up a business glossary and data sharing agreement workflow in Collibra

+ Experience implementing Collibra workflows (BPMN), building metamodel is plus
