RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the supervision of one of our Professional Engineers, you will provide support for drawing layout, details, diagrams, sketches, and more. You will be involved in many steps of a project, assisting in various design, phasing, and budget planning tasks.
Responsible for providing a full range of drawing production and organization for Landfill Caps/Liner Systems, as well as various stormwater control systems, a successful candidate will thrive in this role if they have extensive experience with AutoCAD - Civil 3D.
In this role, you will:
Design, record drawings, details, grading, volume, and quantity analysis on AutoCAD - Civil 3D
Assist in various design, phasing, and budget planning projects
Develop construction record drawings for gas collection systems, Landfill Caps/Liner Systems, and various stormwater controls on AutoCAD - Civil 3D.
Position Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
3+ years of experience with AutoCAD - Civil 3D required
Independent and self-motivated
Landfill, Pipe 2000, Stormwater Design/Sampling and/or Compliance experience a plus
Working knowledge of supporting software: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Office Suite

About the Job:
FFE is offering Architecture Co-op positions to work alongside our Cincinnati team. This paid, in-person position offers students the opportunity to apply their formal education through real-world experience and hands-on training. Co-ops at FFE are treated as integral members of the team, collaborating with staff at all levels, participating in client work, and engaging with fellow co-ops and staff.
What you'll be responsible for:
Collaborate with project teams to develop architecturaldesigns and solutions.
Assist in the preparation of design documents, presentations, and construction drawings.
Participate in client meetings and design charrettes.
Participate in project site visits
Conduct research and analysis to support project development.
Engage in hands-on training to enhance professional growth.

Here's What You'll Need (Basic Qualifications)
Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field.
Maintain a GPA of 2.75 or above on a 4.0 scale.
Proficiency in Autodesk Revit is preferred.

JOB OVERVIEW
The CAD Designer will assist in providing project support for the daily operational task of preparing plans, specifications & aligning with the estimates from the Project Managers on Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. The ideal candidate will also be enthusiastic to work with engineers, project managers, and other technical staff in the preparation of drawings, designs and figures associated with technical documents. Organization, communication, and design skills will be essential to efficiently produce quality outputs while meeting budget and schedules on multiple concurrent projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Prepares designs and generates drawings for a variety of projects using Autodesk, Revit, and other CAD products (e.g., building plans and layouts, tanks, piping, structural foundations, section views, and engineering details)
* Ensures good communication and working relationships with technical staff and Project Managers
* Converses with engineers and other subject matter experts to interpret design concepts, determine nature and type of required detailed working drawings; Interacts with software providers
* Communicate results/issues as required to the project team
* Verifies accuracy and completeness of drawings
* Documents any changes, managing organization of documents linking to initial plans provided by the customer and updating to as built design documents
* Makes site visits as required to facilitate generation of drawings as needed
* Actively involved in the QA/QC process to ensure that project deliverables meet requirements
* Prepare and package intermediate and final design plans for submittals
* Manage deadlines and the prioritization of assignments
* Performs incidental tasks related to the position as well as various duties, as assigned, to support the overall objectives/goals of the team while maintaining a positive attitude.
REQUIREMENTS
* Associates or technical school degree
* Two (2) + years' experience in facilities design with computer-aided software programs
* A good working knowledge of CAD, construction documents and technical knowledge
* Familiarity with AutoCAD
* Experience with US Army Corps of Engineers preferred
* DoD or Air Force Civil Design standards preferred
* Proven team player
* Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
* Proficient in Autodesk and Revit software, including but not limited to the development building design, canopy design, tanks, pipping layout, sections, quantities, and knowledge of CAD Standards
* Ability to pass a background and drug screening
* Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Teams, and a web collaboration tool such as SharePoint
* Experience in Alaska Native Corporations preferred
