We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented AI Workflow Architect Intern to join our dynamic team. This position performs a variety of assignments requiring skills in conventional aspects of architectural designs for projects of small size and limited complexity. The Drafter works collaboratively in a team environment, performing design and technical production of documents through all phases of architecture.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
General understanding of the conventional aspects of architectural principles and practices.
Collaborates with project team through all phases of architectural design.
Interprets sketches, drawings, building program and other similar material and able to communicate abstract ideas (verbal/written).
Participates with space planning, block planning, and adjacencies in coordination with building program.
Utilizes BIM technologies in development of three-dimensional models of buildings and their components.
Assists small projects or series of small projects.
Participates in schematic design, site selection and building analysis (scoping).
Applies understanding of phases of architectural document production and the relationship between drawings and specifications.
Prepares and revises documentation in various architectural phases including site plans, floor plans, building elevations, building sections, and details.
Coordinates building systems (structural, mechanical, electrical, etc.) to ensure compatibility with the design intent. Works with Architect to select the types of systems to be used.
Coordinates and communicates with design team members to ensure the architectural design details integrate properly with the work of all other project disciplines.
Utilizes understanding of the major model codes and accessibility codes to create code compliant designs.
Contributes to construction contract administration tasks.
Collaborates on permitting process/response to comments.
Checks accuracy and completeness of project and manages time to meet project schedule.
Attends project coordination and meetings with internal team members and/or external consultants.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
