We use a unique integrated delivery process that involves architecture, engineering, construction, development, real estate management and capital markets. Our integrated process requires an individual to be able to work in a proactive and positive manner in tandem with local teams and cross regionally within a national design practice.
Some things you can expect to do:
Work in tandem with Project Architect, Design Project Manager, Designers, Development, Construction and Consultants to develop documentation for coordination and construction.
Solve problems and apply basic principles of design
Perform tasks with a high level of collaboration and set an example for others to follow
Contribute to Ryan culture through participation in office activities, initiatives and learning programs
Establish and pursue annual goals based on personal, professional and company growth in the industry
Project Delivery
Participate in creating complete and thorough set of design documents to meet project goals, milestones and schedule
Participate in detailing efforts to produce a complete set of construction documents
Identify and seek guidance on unusual technical issues
Participate in design meetings, consultant meetings and project team meetings
Assist in researching and resolving code issues and regulatory approval process
Participate in Ryan's QA/QC process and project specifications for specific scopes of work
Communicate deviations in project scope and works with team to resolve
To be successful in this role, you must have knowledge and/or willingness to learn building codes, documentation, and constructability. A professional architecture degree is required (bachelor or master of architecture or technical). You must have strong organizational and communication skills and be able to collaborate with a diverse team.
You will really stand out if you:
Have 1-4 years of relevant professional work experience
Are working through Architectural licensure process
Have working knowledge of Revit and Bluebeam
Are LEED AP and/or WELL AP certified

Compensation:
The annual salary range is $55,000.00 - 75,000.00. The base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills and abilities.

Job Description
The AutoCAD/Revit Drafting Designer is responsible for creating and managing 2D and 3D models utilizing AutoCAD, Revit, Autodesk Build, and Autodesk Cloud platforms for telecommunication schematics, equipment elevations, low voltage cable pathways, as-built drawings, etc. The Drafting Designer will work closely with Sales, Project Management, the field staff, as well as external engineering companies to develop detailed design plans, construction documents, and communicate technical requirements.
Duties and responsibilities
Utilize AutoCAD and Revit software to create and maintain detailed 2D and 3D models, construction documents, and technical drawings for various projects
Utilize AutoCAD and Revit to create and maintain Wiring one line drawings, Telecommunication Room layout, Elevations, Sections and details
Utilize Autodesk Build and Autodesk Cloud for document management, coordination, and workflow tracking.
Review and comprehend engineered MEP drawings for accuracy of design
Assist in developing design set templates, standards, and legends
Create customer standards / specifications documents
Manage design set revisions for construction, electrical and technical audiences
Work collaboratively with engineers, project managers, and field teams to ensure accurate and coordinated drawings.
Communicate technical requirements for construction and electrical contractors by developing submittals, key notes and technical writeups
Communicate with installation crews for as-built documentation
Support design reviews and incorporate field mark-ups or as-built conditions into drawings.
Support technical teams and sales engineers with cable counts, distances, and unique site/ facility impactors, etc.

Qualifications
Bachelor's or Associates Degree in Architecture, Engineering, related field, or industry experience required
RCDD or AutoCAD certification preferred
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit software required
Familiar with Autodesk Cloud and Autodesk Build environments required
Experience drafting low voltage systems (structured cabling, DAS, Wi-Fi, security, or similar) preferred
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with project teams and stakeholders
Strong organizational skills to maintain project file structure, drawing and document historical filing
Dynamo and programing experience a plus but not required
