Schedule: Full-Time | 2nd or 3rd Shift | Shift premium available Compensation: $21-$26/hour (potentially higher for highly experienced candidates) About the Opportunity An industry leader in materials innovation is seeking a Color Design Technician to join their growing technical team at a new compounding facility in Northeast Ohio. This role supports lab-based color matching, quality checks, and formulation testing for specialty plastics and compounds. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with color matching or QA experience in plastics, inks, coatings, or chemical manufacturing to play a visible role in production quality and client satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Conduct lab-based color matching and quality testing on compounded materials Support production teams with adjustments to meet precise customer specs Use colorimetric equipment, spectrophotometers, and blending tools Maintain detailed documentation and batch records Collaborate with operations and technical service teams to troubleshoot issues Requirements Experience in color matching, color science, or lab-based formulation work Background in plastics, chemical, or coating industries strongly preferred Ability to follow SOPs, record data, and operate lab instrumentation Detail-oriented and process-driven with good communication skills Willing to work 2nd or 3rd shift in a lab/manufacturing hybrid environment Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

The Piping Drafting/Design Intern will work alongside the Piping Facilitator to help develop department standards and project deliverables using 2D AutoCAD and Microsoft products. Additional tasks include preparing training documentation and participation in training sessions geared towards piping design and layout, including the use of 3D pipe modeling software. This position may interface with other disciplines to provide drafting services as needed.Responsibilities Create department standard drawings using 2D AutoCAD under the guidance of the Piping Facilitator and Department Manager. Help to develop training material for piping department training sessions as well as participate in these sessions. Participation in Plant 3D training sessions to learn how to use typical project documentation to create a piping layout and deliverables in a 3D database environment. Revise project deliverables such as lists and drawings under the guidance of a project piping lead. This may involve working with disciplines other than piping. Aid in organizing and filing documents for projects. Qualifications Currently enrolled in a Mechanical Engineering Technology Program at an accredited college or university (2 or 4 year path) Strong attention to detail and organization skills Effective communication skills in order to convey ideas is a must Ability to work within diverse teams assembled from Nexus, clients, and others Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel and Word Proficient with 2D AutoCAD Knowledge of 3-D modeling techniques and terms Potential Experiences Gain an understanding of the business and engineering work flow in a consulting firm Further development of drafting skills and knowledge of both 2D and 3D AutoCAD programs. Learn the role of a piping department in an organization that provides engineering services to a range of clients including refineries and chemical plants.
