Stantec's Geotechnical practice has an immediate opportunity for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer. As a geotechnical professional, you will provide comprehensive geotechnical services to Stantec clients with a focus on Project Leadership, Business Development, Staff Mentorship, and Collaboration with other Stantec Senior Leaders.

Your Key Responsibilities
- Lead and participate in pursuits and campaigns for major regional opportunities; engage directly in relationship development, positioning, win strategies and teaming.
- Engage in the development and maintenance of relationships between the Company, strategic partners, and clients to expand business opportunities.
- Conduct geotechnical analyses, develop engineering calculation packages, and perform other duties of a similar nature as a Project Technical Lead or Project Manager.
- Manage and lead other team members, complete tasks, and delegate specific project tasks to other team members as appropriate.
- Support marketing and business development professionals in positioning for potential projects, writing technical portions of proposals, participating in client interviews, and supporting negotiations for project contracts.
- Plan, manage and oversee field work related to geotechnical explorations and/or construction related activities.
- Assist in the development of new standards and specifications for the work elements designed by your discipline group and interact with other Stantec teams to complete design packages for various sized projects across North America.
- Perform other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Ability to participate and collaborate in a project team setting and to engage in creative and critical thought.
- Understanding of local and regional soils and soil interaction including various types of foundations and soil preparation.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to understand task assignment and scheduling, budgeting, and efficient use of time and resources.
- Basic experience in Microsoft Office, Geostudio Software Suite, Plaxis, ENSOFT LPILE, OpenGround, and gINT (as needed)
- An understanding of state and federal regulations and the ability to adapt to client specific requirements.
- Provide support in permitting process of projects, if needed.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to check the work of others for accuracy and completeness and manage time to meet project budget and schedule.
- Willing to travel on an as-needed basis in support of civil and geotechnical investigations, construction, and inspections.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering preferred.
- Professional engineer license required.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience.
- Experience working on state and/or federal government contracts.

Overview
The successful candidate will be a member of TRC's expanding Infrastructure Geotechnical Engineering Group, currently having team members in Mount Laurel, NJ, Cleveland, OH, Columbus, OH, Scott Depot, WV, and Manassas, VA offices. In addition to the geotechnical engineering team, TRC also has a full-service drilling division, an ASTM/AASHTO accredited soil mechanics and rock testing laboratory, a PDA testing and vibration monitoring component, and a commercial construction inspection division, all of whom work together to provide high-quality and cost-effective geotechnical design solutions for a wide range of project applications.
Typical projects include highways, bridges, industrial processing facilities, municipal capital improvements, dams and levees, power generation and transmission projects, low to high-rise residential developments and office complexes, multi-story parking facilities, solar and wind renewable energy. Currently, our geotechnical service area is primarily located within northeastern, southeast, and lower midwestern states, with rapidly growing needs for support in other regions of the US.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities will include preparing geotechnical calculations, reports or sections of reports, and supporting documentation under the supervision of senior technical staff, inspection and logging of site exploration activities, and visual classification of soil and rock. Additional responsibilities might also include assisting with laboratory testing of soil and rock, pile dynamic analysis (PDA), construction vibration monitoring, quality control testing of earthwork and foundation construction, and site assessments and reporting associated with geohazard and/or dam safety analyses. **What You'll Do:**
+ Perform all plumbing, electrical, or HVAC requirements of the building.

+ Repair doors, ceilings, hand railings, and floors and other general repairs, adjustments, and installations throughout the property.
+ Perform repairs to plumbing fixtures. This includes water closets, urinals, flush valve assemblies, lavatories, etc.
+ Inspect engine room equipment, fan room equipment, cooling tower, all motors, house pumps, electric rooms, back-up generator, fire pumps, sump pumps, and ejector pumps.

Your Opportunity
Stantec's Geotechnical practice has an immediate opportunity for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer. As a geotechnical professional, you will provide comprehensive geotechnical services to Stantec clients with a focus on Project Leadership, Business Development, Staff Mentorship, and Collaboration with other Stantec Senior Leaders.

You will leverage your technical skills, industry and market knowledge, and client and partner relationships to pursue and win work that transforms our business and inspires our people to provide a quality design product to our clients while building a culturally strong and high performing business.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Lead and participate in pursuits and campaigns for major regional opportunities; engage directly in relationship development, positioning, win strategies and teaming.
* Engage in the development and maintenance of relationships between the Company, strategic partners, and clients to expand business opportunities.
* Conduct geotechnical analyses, develop engineering calculation packages, and perform other duties of a similar nature as a Project Technical Lead or Project Manager.
* Manage and lead other team members, complete tasks, and delegate specific project tasks to other team members as appropriate.
* Support marketing and business development professionals in positioning for potential projects, writing technical portions of proposals, participating in client interviews, and supporting negotiations for project contracts.
* Plan, manage and oversee field work related to geotechnical explorations and/or construction related activities.
* Assist in the development of new standards and specifications for the work elements designed by your discipline group and interact with other Stantec teams to complete design packages for various sized projects across North America.
* Perform other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
* Ability to participate and collaborate in a project team setting and to engage in creative and critical thought.
* Understanding of local and regional soils and soil interaction including various types of foundations and soil preparation.
* Excellent time management skills with the ability to understand task assignment and scheduling, budgeting, and efficient use of time and resources.
* Basic experience in Microsoft Office, Geostudio Software Suite, Plaxis, ENSOFT LPILE, OpenGround, and gINT (as needed)
* An understanding of state and federal regulations and the ability to adapt to client specific requirements.
* Provide support in permitting process of projects, if needed.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to check the work of others for accuracy and completeness and manage time to meet project budget and schedule.
* Willing to travel on an as-needed basis in support of civil and geotechnical investigations, construction, and inspections.
* Excellent team building skills and a willingness to work on multiple teams/disciplines with varying backgrounds.
Education and Experience
* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering preferred.
* Professional engineer license required.
* Minimum of 15 years of experience.
* Experience working on state and/or federal government contracts.
Flexible office and/or field arrangements depending on required activities. Typical office environment includes working with computers and working at a desk for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.

Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Role description:
Arcadis is looking to hire a Civil Engineer PE who has extensive experience working on site or land development projects for the United States Federal Government.
In this role, you will work directly with other Civil Engineers, Engineers from different disciplines, Project Managers, clients, and others on Federal Agency facility design projects. You will lead the civil discipline on multiple concurrent projects through the pursuit, proposal, design, and construction phases.
This role is open to any location in the United States, but it will require 20% domestic travel to service federal clients and their projects.
Role accountabilities:
* Lead design teams and mentor junior staff to develop construction-ready design packages of drawings and specifications with interdisciplinary coordination
* Manage clients through all phases of the relationship
* Develop budgets, proposals, schedules, project plans, and staffing plans, and identify, qualify, and pursue potential clients and project opportunities. The ideal candidate would be well-networked within the US Federal Government and or its Agencies
* Contribute technically to projects in areas where qualified to support work prepared by the respective disciplines
* Fluency in design and modeling software that includes: Civil 3D, Autodesk Construction Cloud, AutoCAD, SpecsIntact (must have)
* Travel to project sites for engineering site surveys, client meetings, and other related work requirements
Qualifications & Experience:
* U.S. citizenship is required for this position as part of federal employment eligibility requirements
* Bachelor of Science (BS) in civil engineering with at least 10 years of experience
* Extensive experience producing IFC design packages for federal agency facilities
* Professional Engineering Licensure in the United States. Multiple state licenses are preferred
* Strong communication skills related to presentations, project communications, and written documents
