The Hiram College Library seeks a Part-Time Archivist to manage, preserve, and provide access to the College's archival collections. This part-time position is funded through the generous support of a private donor; continued employment is contingent upon the availability of donor funding. The Archivist will play a key role in organizing institutional records, developing sustainable systems for preservation, and increasing awareness of the value of archives to the College's academic mission and institutional memory. This position works closely with the Library Director to prioritize goals and balance core responsibilities with strategic outreach to students, faculty, staff, and researchers.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
* Manage, preserve, and ensure access to Hiram College archival collections to support education and research.
* Process the existing backlog of institutional records and develop a sustainable records retention plan for ongoing management.
* Collaborate with the Library Director to prioritize tasks and focus efforts within available hours.
* Develop outreach strategies to engage students, faculty, and researchers and raise awareness of the archives' value.
* Maintain proper preservation and storage of materials using current archival standards and best practices.
* Assist with digitization projects and support reference requests related to archival collections.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in history, Public History, Museum Studies, Library/Information Science, or a related field is required.
* Master's degree (MLIS, MA, or equivalent) with a concentration in archives or records management preferred but not required.
* Demonstrated experience working with archival collections, including arrangement, description, and preservation.
* Familiarity with archival description standards such as DACS, EAD, or MARC, and an understanding of digital preservation practices.
* Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to work independently and collaborate across departments.
* Clear written and verbal communication skills and a commitment to engaging a diverse campus community.
* Interest in promoting the role of archives in teaching, learning, historical inquiry, and institutional legacy..

The Allen Memorial Art Museum at Oberlin College invites applications for the position of Curator of Academic Programs. This is a full-time, 12-month Administrative and Professional Staff position reporting to the museum's director. Responsibilities
The Curator of Academic Programs is responsible for strengthening the academic role of the museum within the College by conceptualizing and developing programs and activities across all disciplines taught at Oberlin, including through leadership of the Academic Programs team.
The Allen is committed to enhancing students' learning, engagement, and critical thinking skills through broad examination of the museum's global art collection and integrating the museum into College curriculum through innovative and creative academic programs. As the primary liaison between the museum and faculty, the successful candidate must have highly developed administrative and organizational capabilities and be an excellent collaborator who thrives in an object-based learning environment. Outreach to colleagues in the College of Arts and Sciences and the Conservatory of Music enables faculty to develop courses and classes that use the collection in new and creative ways, both supporting faculty well versed with the collection and training faculty less familiar with how an art museum is a springboard to curriculum. Essential Job Functions
● Supervising a full-time Assistant/Associate Curator of Academic Programs and part-time studentassistants each year, and overseeing their recruitment and training

● Leading and co-facilitating discussion-based sessions for classes in the Allen's galleries and Print Study Room
● Planning and overseeing faculty development initiatives, including new faculty orientation, curriculum development grants, and pedagogical workshops

Marginal Job Functions Required Qualifications
