Description:
The Assembler is responsible for taking instruction from the supervisor on following print requirements and using various manufacturing equipment and hand tools to build and attach various parts, materials and equipment to custom trailers according to Customer Specifications. Mechanically inclined: use of hand, air/power tools (drills, impact wrenches, c-clamp and rivet guns) The Assembler will interact with and support other Shop Associates and Subcontractors in the performance of these duties. The Assembler will report to the Shop Team Leader and will perform any and all duties as requested.
Responsibilities:
The Associate will work in a safe manner while wearing the appropriate safety equipment and reporting any unsafe condition or act.
The Associate will be responsible for their area of the Shop for housekeeping and organization and will utilize clean up time assigned at the end of each day to do so.
The Associate will be on the job as scheduled for start, stop and break times and accurately fill out the proper information on a Job Slip at the end of each day.
The Associate will conduct themselves according to the Policies of the Company as provided in the Handbook including attendance, smoking, breaks, clean up, vacation, PTO, cell phones, etc.
Requirements:
Detail oriented; strong attention to details
Experienced with electric and pneumatic tooling and basic hand tools
Diploma/GED
Math Skills: ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide
Able to read a tape measure
Able to stand 10hrs/day
Able to lift up to 50lbs continuously
Able to perform repetitive tasks; high physical activity
Able to bend, kneel, stoop, stand, reach, twist, climb and/or crawl
Able to work in regularly exposed to high noise level, vibration, dust and fumes

Produce fillet and groove welds using the SMAW, SAW, and FCAW processes
Drill, install high-strength bolts and grind steel components
Maintain a clean, organized work area

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
1+ years experience in fabrication; preferred

What a typical day looks like:
* Review, analyze, and follow various blueprints, diagrams, drawing, procedures, and work instructions to complete assemblies for enclosure buildings
* Mechanical assembly of components for switchgear cabinets
* Uses various power tools and hand tools (ex. Drills, impacts, screwdrivers, grinders, etc.) to accomplish assigned tasks
* Conduct quality assurance checks to confirm that assembled products meet specifications and quality standards
* Identify any product defects; record and report them accordingly
* Monitor and maintain inventory of necessary supplies, tools, and parts in workstation

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

Summary - The Marine Junior Assembler is responsible for learning the process of assembling and operation of assembly machines according to directions. With assistance, they will aid in the fabrication, to produce various size and types of valves, using tools and fixtures. Occasional material handling and stocking of components at machine being operated.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities to which competency will be measured include the following:
Learn the operation of hand or bench type power tools.

What our ASSEMBLER I does:
Assembling the components of the job, which may include machining and/or assembling various millwork products such as exterior and interior door units.
Operating machinery that modifies the product (ex. chop saws)
Preparing the product for shipment by applying casing, sleeves, labels, etc.
Inspecting the overall quality and accuracy of assembled product throughout the assembly process
Repairing and disassembling returned or defective millwork to prepare it for resale or return to stock.
Performing routine maintenance on all tools used including cleaning, oiling, checking to ensure proper functioning, calibrating machines, checking measuring tool accuracy, and notifying a supervisor of larger repairs or malfunctions.
Working in a safe manner:
Participating in all safety training and meetings
Understanding and complying with the Company safety policy
TOOLS USED: Include but are not limited to chop saw, table saw, rip saw, hand saw; router, nail gun, screw gun, door machine, various pneumatic tools, and drills.
What you need to have:
High School diploma or GED and one to two years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to write correspondence, effectively present information in one-on-one or small group situations.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to perform these operations using weight measurements, volume, and distance.
Might require forklift certification, depending upon branch requirements.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to understand branch and industry standards in identification, measurement, repairs, replacements, and modification of products.

Job Summary
The Assembler is responsible for assembling fabricated parts under general supervision in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. This role ensures KPS Global meets quality, safety, and productivity standards and satisfies customer requirements.
Major Responsibilities
· Performing duties in accordance with current Quality Management System, Safety Management System, and KPS Global Code of Conduct requirements
· Assembling sub-assemblies and installing accessory components and materials; wiring basic electrical connections per applicable diagram
· Inspecting product to conform to quality, engineering, and customer requirements
· Operating hand tools including electrical and pneumatic power tools
· Loading, unloading, lifting, and moving materials and product utilizing lifting equipment when available
· Reading and interpreting job orders, diagrams, and/or blueprints to select and position material and accessory components
· Completing and maintaining all associated electronic processes paperwork including checklists, stamping, blueprints, bar coding and shipping materials
· Maintaining departmental housekeeping and 5S standards
Required Skills
