What you'll do:
Layout and mark weld points on parts or sub-assemblies
Position pieces to be welded into jigs, holding fixtures, guides and steps using measuring instruments and hand tools.
Assist in the completion of all tasks to meet deadlines
May be involved in safety committees or initiatives
Follow all safety rules and practices
Perform other duties as assigned
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
Ability to qualify as horizontal welder
Read, write and speak proficiently in English
Ability to qualify as a vertical Welder
Certified welder preferred
Certified for horizontal groove welding preferred
Able to perform Oxy Fuel Burning and Carbon Arcing preferred
Ability to work as a team, demonstrate high ethical standards, treat all coworkers with dignity and respect and support a positive working culture
Working Conditions:
Hourly position, 4:30PM - 3:00AM (subject to change based on business needs), mandatory OT often required
Work environment includes plant, warehouse, production and non-production areas and plant grounds which operate multiple shifts and frequent weekend shifts

What you'll do:
Performs preventative maintenance on electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic repairs to production and mechanical equipment, machinery and components
Determines causes of operating problems, consults schematics and orders replacement parts.
Installs and repairs electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical or electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment, follows electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specification
Lays out, builds, tests, troubleshoots, repairs and modifies production electronic components, parts, switch panels etc.
May test new equipment and troubleshoot operation and make minor adjustments to equipment
Experience working with PLC,s and using programming software.
Maintains and completes all required records
May be involved in safety committees or initiatives
What you'll need:
Performs complex repairs on production equipment and tools motors and mechanical components including basic pneumatics and hydraulics
Must have experience working with Hydraulics, Electrical, and Pneumatics all tied into PLC operating system.
Performs basic troubleshooting on electrical equipment / 3 Phase / equipment up to 480v.
Reads blueprints and schematics
Complete PM maintenance and repairs on production equipment (Band Saw, Iron Worker, Burn Table, Welding Machines & Plasma Torches, Overhead Crane & Forklifts)
Maintain the facilities (Lights & Fans)
May be able to tack weld (Stik or MIG) for minor repairs
Follow all safety rules and practices including but not limited to Lockout/Tagout and PPE assessment

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Selects fabrication equipment and plans layout, assembly, and welding procedures.

May assemble parts by bolting.
Repairs products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping and reassembling parts. In some cases, fabrication equipment may be uses to perform the function above such as plate rolling machines, plate cutting machines, cutting torch or other welding fabrication equipment.
Clean pole and welds as required
Accountable and responsible for essential tools and equipment provided along w/ the maintaining of these tools and equipment.
Within the scope of the job requirements, will be required to adhere and comply with state and federal law, the Company ISO Quality Program and procedures, Company policies and Safety and Environmental Regulations.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED
Two (2) or more years related welding experience
Three (3) years' experience working in a heavy manufacturing environment
JOB REQUIREMENTS
