Primary Responsibilities: * Sales and Service Excellence: * Partner with the management team to drive memorable customer experiences and client satisfaction. * Ensure the execution of Office Depot selling techniques and sales training across the store. * Foster a sales-focused environment through assisting with the training and development of associates. * Act as a role model for delivering exceptional customer service and product expertise. * Operational Efficiency: * Process merchandise accurately and efficiently, adhering to established procedures, deadlines, and visual merchandising standards. * Identify areas for process improvement and implement plans to reduce waste and inefficiencies. * Assist the General Manager in providing guidance and effective coaching to associates for improved performance. * Contribute to increasing sales and profitability through conversion, Average Order Value (AOV), and customer satisfaction improvement initiatives. * Leadership and Team Development: * Provide guidance, direction, and ongoing training to store associates, including Print Services associates. * Facilitate training sessions on the business model and the holistic service offering for clients/customers. * Observe, coach, and provide feedback to enhance associate proficiency and build a culture of trust and brand loyalty. * Regularly exercises independent judgment when providing input to the General Manager on assessing store associates' performance, certification(s), and competencies. * Other responsibilities as deemed necessary * External Key Carrier Responsibilities: * Maintain the safety and security of the building and associates during the absence of other managers. * Perform opening and closing responsibilities, including activation and deactivation of the store's alarm system, cash handling, and daily store balancing. * As a leader in the store, ensure regular loss prevention compliance. * Fulfill responsibilities associated with External Key Carrier designation Education and Experience: * High School diploma or equivalent, Bachelors preferred * Business, Marketing, Retail , or related fields * Minimum 1-3 years of experience in related field * Retail, sales, customer facing, and/or supervisory experience preferred * Basic computer skills and the ability to use computers and technology for information, and to access information necessary to complete the job. * Experience with Logistics and Freight * Advanced selling skills * Must be able to effectively lead and coach others in a professional environment * Coaches / Motivates, Conflict Management, Problem Solving, * Drives for Results, Directing Others, Decision Quality, Business Acumen, Collaboration / Team Spirit, Accountability, Time Management * Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills * Must be able to plan, prioritize and execute detailed instructions in a timely and efficient manner * Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with the ability to work independently, as well as with others * Must be adaptable to a changing environment and focused on driving results * Client focused, positive and engaging, action oriented, demonstrates a passion for the brand, products, services, and solutions.
