We are currently looking for a skilled individual to performing Mig and Tig welding on stamped metal products. The work schedule for this role is Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Job Description Welder III 58K+ Monday - Thursday 7am-4:30, Friday 7am-11am The position will be responsible for performing high mix/ low volume manual TIG welding of Stainless Steel and Aluminum in a high-quality medical device manufacturing environment. Responsibilities: Set up and operate TIG welding equipment using prescribed methods and procedures to weld parts within acceptable tolerances and standards. Build weldments through manual layout and manual surface prep processes when required. Read and interpret welding blueprints including standard welding symbols, travelers, and other work instruction documents. Positions parts are to be joined using fixtures and other holding or positioning devices. Use required measuring instruments and gages to check and ensure parts meet dimensional requirements. Assist in problem-solving activities. Complies with all quality standards. Capable of mentoring and training Welder I and Welder II. Capable of fitting, purging, and welding complete joint penetration (CJP) welds. Ability to perform troubleshooting of welding equipment, materials, and fixturing. May weld in flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead position. May tack weld assemblies together. * Manually guides electrode or gun along weld-line, maintaining length of arc and speed and movement to form specified depth of fusion and bead, as judged from color of metal, sound of weld, and size of molten puddle. * May manually apply filler rod to supply weld metal. May clean or degrease weld joint or workplace, using wire brush, portable grinder, or chemical bath. May repair broken or cracked parts and fill holes. May remove excess weld, defective weld material, slag and spatter, using carbon arc gouge, hand scrapper, grinder or power chipper. May preheat work piece, using hand torch or heating furnace. May cut metal plates or structural shapes. * Examines weld for bead size and other specifications. * Loads, transports and unloads material, tools, equipment and supplies. * May assist in lifting, positioning and securing of materials and work pieces during installation. * Performs minor maintenance or cleaning activities of tools and equipment. * Respiratory protection is common and may be required. * Required to pass employer performance tests or standard tests to meet certification standards. Performs only procedures certified in. * Responsible for observing and complying with all safety and project rules. * Perform other duties as required including but not limited to paint booth, media blasting, housekeeping, safety engagement, and more.
