A day in this role As the 2nd shift starts up, you'll review the production schedule, move to the CNC laser cell, and carefully unload freshly cut sheet-metal parts. You'll perform quick visual checks to confirm accuracy, remove burrs, and complete surface finishing using tools such as deburring wheels, sanders, and polishers. With specifications in hand, you'll verify each piece meets standards, keep your work area clean and orderly, and communicate with teammates to hit throughput goals. Throughout the shift, you'll document your work in basic computer systems and alert your supervisor to any discrepancies so issues are resolved quickly and safely. What you'll handle Unload laser-cut materials and inspect parts for quality and conformance. Complete post-processing: deburring, sanding, and polishing to required finish. Confirm finished parts meet company specifications and standards. Maintain a tidy, safe, and efficient work area. Collaborate and communicate with the production team to achieve targets. Record production activity and report any issues or variances to supervisors. Follow all safety procedures and company policies without exception. What you bring High school diploma or equivalent; technical training a plus. Ability to continuously lift sheet metal and stand for up to 10 hours. Responsibilities:Perform MIG welding on a variety of metals and components.Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine specifications.Inspect completed welds for quality and adherence to standards.Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following all safety protocols.Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.Conduct routine maintenance on welding equipment to ensure optimal performance.Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills. Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in welding preferred.Proven experience as a MIG welder or in a similar role.Strong understanding of welding techniques and safety standards.Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Physical stamina and strength to perform welding tasks. D1.1 certification or ability to pass the test You should be proficient in: Welding Setups for Production Blueprint Reading Machines & technologies you'll use: MIG Welder Robotic Welder
