John Jones is chief financial officer and chief administrative officer of Verisk Financial. He’s an accomplished financial leader, specializing in financial modeling and mergers and acquisitions.

John drives the company’s financial strategy and capital management, manages corporate financial and daily operations, and communicates with investors, media, and other third parties.

Most recently, John led the international client delivery operations of Argus, a Verisk Financial business. He also expanded our UK-developed approach to Australia and the United Arab Emirates to fully depersonalize individual consumer-level data, complying with GDPR regulations. John also launched the Argus Australia operations, establishing innovative solutions to help customers maximize the value of their portfolios.

Before joining Argus, John held senior and executive roles with Citigroup and MBNA in the UK, the United States, and Spain, including head of credit cards.

John holds an MBA from the University of Manchester and a BS in electrical engineering from Imperial College, University of London. He’s also a Chartered Accountant and Business Financial Professional with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. John is pursuing his PhD, focusing on how credit accessibility impacts communities.

John is an active member of his local society of Chartered Accountants and previously served as an accounting advisor to companies under the Prince’s Trust.

Scott G. Stephenson is chairman, president and chief executive officer of Verisk, bringing more than 30 years of executive experience and a successful record of strategic leadership and innovation to the company.
