The Staff Pharmacist is responsible for providing quality pharmaceutical care/services to patients and health care professionals at any ARH or affiliated unit as assigned. Responsible for properly assessing patients' pharmaceutical needs and providing pharmaceutical care. Responsible for the accurate and proper compounding and dispensing of prescribed medications and solutions. Responsible for the proper inventory and record keeping of medications. Responsible for properly counseling patients/patients' families, and appropriate health care professionals regarding drug therapy. The Director of Respiratory Therapy is accountable for directing and coordinating the overall operation of the Respiratory Therapy Department. Responsibilities Manages the department in an efficient manner by planning, organizing and controlling all activities of the department. Administers and/or supervises all prescribed respiratory therapy treatments. Assures that respiratory treatments are provided in compliance with physician's orders. Assures that patients who are receiving treatments are made as comfortable as possible and kept as calm as possible. Assures that respiratory equipment is maintained in proper working condition. Responds to code blue to assist medical personnel in administering urgent respiratory therapy. Manages the personnel function by interviewing, selecting, evaluating, disciplining and terminating personnel or recommending such action as necessary. Assures that employees receive orientation and required in-service training and that they maintain required licensure or certification. Determines staffing needs and patterns and recommends appropriate staffing levels and classifications consistent with unit position authorization. Maintains up-to-date knowledge in the field to allow recommendation of new services, products and equipment. Maintains an adequate stock of suppllies and equipment and assure that gases are stored safely. The Senior Medical Technologist is responsible for supervision and performance in an area of specialization in the laboratory; i.e., Hematology, Microbiology, Chemistry, and Blood Bank. Qualifications A Master's Degree from an accredited institution with a major in one of the chemical, physical, or biological sciences, and subsequent to graduation, has at least four years of pertinent laboratory experience of which not less than two years has been spent working in the designated specialty in a clinical laboratory; or, A baccalaureate degree in Medical Technology which includes successful completion of a program in an CAHEA approved School of Medical Technology and certification as a Medical Technologist by a national certified agency, plus at least six years of pertinent clinical laboratory experience of which not less than two years have been in a designated laboratory specialty; or, A baccalaureate degree from an accredited educational institution with a major in one of the chemical, physical, or biological sciences; and, subsequent to graduation - (a) has had at least six years of pertinent laboratory experience of which not less than two years has been spent working in the designated laboratory specialty in a hospital clinical laboratory, with a director at the doctoral level; and, (b) has successfully completed pertinent courses which, when combined with the foregoing experience, will provide technical and professional knowledge comparable to that of #2 above.

The purpose of Infection Preventionist is to promote patient and staff safety through the identification of sources/risks for infection and developing strategies in the prevention of infections. The Infection Preventionist is responsible for assisting in the development of the Infection Prevention Program Plan and implementation of the Plan at the facility level. The Infection Preventionist implements the Infection Prevention Program Plan by collection, analysis and provision of actionable data regarding healthcare-associated infections to physicians, staff members, department directors/managers and senior management and the Infection Control Committee. The Infection Preventionist uses epidemiologic data to plan, implement, monitor and evaluate infection control practices throughout the hospital and to educate staff members, patients and their families on measures for prevention of infection. The Infection Preventionist acts as a resource/consultant within the hospital in regard to all matters that relate to the prevention and control of infections including: outbreak investigation; isolation precautions; implementation of evidence-based measures for prevention of infection; review of patient care products proposed for purchase; review of construction and renovation projects with regard to infection prevention; development of infection prevention policies and procedures. The Infection Preventionist ensures that the hospital is in compliance with the recommendations and regulations of governmental agencies and regulatory authorities with regard to infection prevention. The Executive Director is responsible for developing fundraising strategy, leading major gift initiatives, overseeing grant proposal writing and reporting, and coordinating fundraising events. The Clinical Laboratory Technician is responsible for performing various routine laboratory tests to obtain data for use in diagnosis and treatment of disease while maintaining all of the Standards of the Laboratory and the Corporation, as well as regulatory agencies. Responsibilities May perform all tasks of Laboratory Technician, producing and interpreting accurate results in an efficient manner.. The House Nurse Coordinator is accountable for the management of nursing services on a given shift under the guidance of the Director of Nursing Services in order to provide safe, effective and efficient nursing care.
