In addition to the sale and underwriting of the insurance business, prior to July 1, 1998, pursuant to agreements effective July 1, 1993, January 1, 1995 and March 1, 1996, Arista also acted as a third-party administrator for the statutory disability benefits books of business of The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America, the United States Life Insurance Company in the City of New York and Hartford Life and Accident Insurance Company, respectively.
