Working alongside Project Managers and Estimators, you will assist in all aspects of the estimating and project management process. If you are self-motivated, and like to problem-solve, multi-task, and assume ownership of your work, contributing to the success of our projects, then apply today!
What You'll Do:
Assist in the estimating process as directed, including attending pre-bids, quantity take-offs, and sub-bid solicitations
Develop and update both a master and short interval schedule for distribution project control
Provide weekly submission of quantities installed to be used for productivity reporting
Complete document control procedures (Drawing Log), including issuance of relevant documents to sub-trades
Compile and submit required submittal packages with shop drawings for approval, followed by completion and update of the submittal log
Compile and track material status log
Compile and update project punch list or issues matrix
Review weekly productivity reports for potential areas of improvement with the Project Manager and Superintendent, and suggest changes as needed
Assist with coordinating sub-bid solicitations and procuring resources such as suppliers, manpower, and equipment
Assist the Project Manager and Superintendent in the daily coordination of subcontractors and suppliers
Ensure proper documentation for any additional work
Assist the Superintendent to ensure completion of “As Built” drawings
Assist the Project Manager and Superintendent in completing project closeout requirements
Maintain project file and shop drawing processing, and assigned contract administration duties
Prepare submittal package compilation
Assist with financial management by writing and issuing change orders, approving material invoices, and tracking material, labor, and equipment
What You'll Bring:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Primavera
Experience with BIM, GradeBeam, and Bluebeam is preferred
OSHA 30 hour certification preferred
Ability to communicate professionally in both verbal and written formats
Ability to take direction, read and understand plans and specifications required
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Ability to follow through and meet deadlines
Knowledge of construction and scheduling techniques
Experience:
A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management is required
2+ years of experience working in the construction industry

What You'll Do:

Manage job cost
Coordinate subcontractors and lead contractor meetings

Barton Malow Company is seeking Sr. ProjectEngineers to join our team on solar & wind projects throughout the Great Lakes Region as part of our Renewable Energy Team. These positions will report to our teams in Southfield, MI and Grandville, MI. This role involves planning, developing, coordinating, supervising, and monitoring onsite construction engineering activities for projects. The Sr. ProjectEngineer will act as a liaison with architects, engineers, and owners regarding project progress and changes, ensuring seamless communication and execution. KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide technical support for resolution and tracking of project issues.
Manage all project document control.
Process submittals and RFI's.
Support Procurement in the distribution of bidding documents and tracking of bidders.
Maintain project schedule.
Prepare and issue meeting minutes.
Assist with planning and managing site logistics.
Enforce corporate safety policies on jobsite.
Receive and review/evaluate contractor quotations for changes and process change orders.
Manage plan review and approval process with local and state municipalities.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
4-year engineering, construction management or related degree.
3-6 years of relevant professional experience or related construction internship experience.
OSHA 30 Hour certification preferred.
Well-organized, detail-oriented, and ability to be self-directed in problem-solving.

ProjectEngineer
As a ProjectEngineer at Clark Construction, you'll play an essential role in supporting our project teams and learning the full construction process from preconstruction through closeout. Key Responsibilities

Electrical Knowledge

Engineers with less than 10 years' experience are encouraged to apply if there is a strong desire to grow into a senior position.
* Familiarity with national electrical engineering firms and electrical contractors is a plus. Must possess the ability to prepare engineering and electrical execution bid packages and have the ability to negotiate scopes of services and contracts.
* The candidate must possess analytical skills with ability to perform electrical load and lighting calculations, and the ability to analyze short circuit coordination, and arc flash studies.
* Familiarity with power distribution equipment including medium voltage and low voltage switchgears, substations, switchboards, transformers is required. Candidate should be familiar with equipment manufacturers (both domestic and international). Knowledge and familiarity with equipment testing and commissioning methods and results is preferred.
* Knowledge of utility high voltage substations and utility switch yards design is a significant advantage.
Engineering Design
* The design capabilities are anticipated to cover diverse facilities such as:
* Industrial and large commerical facilities,hospitals, stadiums, high rise buildings, .
* Have an engineering knowledge on the workflows of engineering and BIM coordination.
* Knowledge and proficiency with Navisworks and Revit is a plus but not required.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
* An accredited Electrical Engineering (EE) degree from a recognized U.S. institution.
* Experience with automotive plants and EV battery production facilities is a significant advantage.

Assist, oversee and in some cases be directly involved in the preparation of plans, technical specifications, technical reports, submittals, and construction period services.
Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials to the job site by working directly with vendors and subcontractors.
Supporting the compiling of all turnover documentation to be included in turnover dossier including O&M manuals as required.
Provide advice, guidance, mentoring, and direction to subordinates and other project personnel toward the achievement of their personal development goals.
Support and participate in company-sponsored initiatives and activities.
Liaising with Client to ensure client satisfaction based on contractual requirements.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Solar or Wind market project experience highly preferred.
4-year Engineering, Construction Management or related degree.
5-8 years of relevant professional experience.
The ideal candidate will be organized and excel at multitasking while being able to work effectively at performing repetitive tasks while maintaining a high level of concentration.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Experience leading a team of construction staff, subcontractors, engineers/designers.
Must be able to work as a team player, independently and learn quickly in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
OSHA 30 Hour preferred.
Proactive positive attitude with commitment to safety.

Position Description: Leads, directs and coordinates the day-to-day management of the project.
Reports to: Senior Project Manager or Project Executive
Essential Duties & Responsibilities*:
* Lead in the development of high-performance teams through supervision, training, coaching, and mentoring. Ensure regular feedback is shared with staff including timely completion of employee performance appraisals.
* Manage and develop assigned staff toward maximum job performance and career potential.
* Develop and improve upon assigned client relationships fostering a "trusted advisor" status.
* Understand and administer Turner's contract and subcontract agreements.
* Provide leadership to positively influence change.

* Foster and enhance architect, subcontractor and vendor relations.
* Establish, update, and communicate the Master Project Schedule and manage its implementation.
* May work with preconstruction team in development of project.
* Manage budget and financial reporting, interpret and analyze reports to ensure adherence to project budget.
* Manage the Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) program.
* Provide leadership in risk evaluation, contract negotiations, fee and pricing decisions.
* Understand, comply and advise others on Turner's business ethics and compliance programs.
* Demonstrate high standard of persona; accountability and integrity. Mentor staff to the same high standards.
* Manage and oversee field operation and engineering processes and procedures.
* Drive competencies to team on requirements for insurance, labor relations, and employee relations.
* Drive enforcement of safety protocols by the project staff.
* Work with Finance to initiate the Pay Application process and follow up to ensure payment is received in a timely manner.
* Keep management informed on progress for project and budget through regularly scheduled Operations Review Meetings.
* Support and drive utilization of various Turner initiatives. Promote and utilize emerging technologies and innovations to support Tuner sustainable competitive advantages.

Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree plus a minimum of ten years related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience. Thorough knowledge of construction cost, scheduling, estimating, purchasing, and engineering principles and techniques, as well as accounting principles. Proven written and verbal communication abilities, proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite of programs. Must have advanced presentation skills. Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedule. Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.
