What You'll Do:
As a member of the College's leadership team, the Dean of Nursing collaborates closely with the Executive Director of Academic Operations and the rest of the campus leadership team on policy making, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the campus's activities and assists in ensuring that the College's vision, mission, and values are foundational elements in guiding decision-making and actions.
Administrative and Leadership
* Responsible for monitoring and evaluating direct reports, including but not limited to, the nursing faculty, clinical coordinator, and director of simulation.
* Ensures compliance of nursing program with State Board of Nursing requirements. Prepares and completes annual and required reports and data for the Board. Notifies the Board of any substantial changes as outlined by the rules and regulations of the State BON.
* Represents the nursing program at meetings of appropriate bodies, including the Board of Nursing.
* Submits information for preparation of the annual operating and capital budget.
* Provides leadership to the faculty in preparation for the accreditation self-study.
* Prepares and maintains statistics related to program outcomes.
* Maintains records relevant to the program.
* Manage direct reports including conducting 1:1s, Quarterly Check-Ins, Performance Management, and offering Training and Development.
General Operations
* Promptly notify direct manager and appropriate corporate stakeholders of all legal issues.
* Notify manager of any personnel changes at management level.
* Provide positive leadership to build employee morale.
Clinical Scheduling/Clinical Consortium
* When student threshold is met, supervises directly the Assistant Dean of Nursing.
* Supervises directly or indirectly the Clinical Coordinator position and is accountable for clinical coordination in accordance with the clinical scheduling practice, state consortium, and Board of Nursing.
* Collaborates with the clinical coordinator, faculty, and facilities in evaluating the appropriateness of clinical facilities and curricular experiences.
* Ensures a sufficient supply of direct patient care hours necessary to deliver the nursing curriculum.
* Indirectly, in partnership with Clinical Coordinator, monitors students' compliance with health regulations and directly serves as liaison to the Board of Health (as needed) in conjunction with the clinical coordinator.
* Oversees the Health and Safety Orientation for students about to progress to the Core
Faculty
* Is responsible for the appointment, retention, and promotion of faculty, including general education faculty in the absence of an Executive Director of Academic Operations or Dean of General Education.
* Manages the hiring process with interviews, teaching presentations, and reference checks
* Directly or indirectly coordinates the orientation and onboarding process of faculty (Adjunct and Full Time).
* Includes computer and IT training
* Assessment Technologies Institute (ATI) training and education

* Guides faculty on academic issues in the development of various ATI methodologies regarding classroom instruction.
* Develops faculty workload schedules, ensuring that office hours are held, committee service is fulfilled, and full-time faculty are scheduled 36 credit hours annually based on the Fiscal Year.
* Directly or indirectly makes assignments for adjunct clinical faculty.
* Ensures each nursing student has a faculty advisor.
* Works with faculty to ensure appropriate delivery of content/concepts and sequencing based on student performance on standardized exams.
* Resolves conflicts effectively.
* Ensures appropriate and meaningful faculty development and mentoring resources for individual faculty and the faculty to drive program outcomes and grow faculty.
Students
* Prepares and manages the Core Nursing Orientation for Level 5 students.
* Provides advisement for students; resolves student problems.
* Coordinates activities related to student admission, retention, progression, and graduation.
* Works with the Executive Director of Academic Operations and Dean of General Education to ensure all areas of the student experience align with outcomes and mission to obtain the highest levels of student achievement and satisfaction.
Curriculum
* Serves as liaison to ATI for scheduling of live reviews and services.
* Works with ATI and faculty to assess course outcomes and teaching strategies using ATI data.
* Facilitates textbook and media selection process.
* Works with the BSN Program Manager, ensuring that the appropriate textbook ordering has been made by the deadline and that students receive their textbooks for the courses in which they enroll.
* Reviews and addresses findings for end-of-course evaluations.
* Collaborates with the Dean of General Education (DOGE) to ensure appropriate alignment of the liberal arts and nursing curricula, facilitate joint in-service offerings, hold regular joint meetings, and provide updates for each department at least quarterly.
* Recommends the purchase of supplies and equipment for support of the nursing program.
* Works collaboratively with the Nursing Lab Manager to ensure the labs are properly maintained and meet standards regarding level and type of equipment.
Committee Service
* Chairs monthly meetings of the nursing faculty and in the absence of a DOGE, chairs all general education faculty meetings.
* Serves as an ex-officio member of all nursing program committees

The Initiative to Bring Research & Innovation into the Debate on Guns in Society (BRIDGS Initiative), housed in the T. Denny Sanford School of Social and Family Dynamics (SSFD) at Arizona State University (ASU), invites applications for an Assistant or Associate Professor. This full-time, benefits-eligible, academic-year (9-month) faculty position will begin in August 2026. We will consider any candidate eligible for appointment as a tenure-track assistant or associate professor in August 2026 (e.g., current ABDs, recently completed Ph.D., postdoctoral scholars, current assistant or associate professors). This position is part of a cluster hire for the BRIDGS Initiative in SSFD with potential for a joint appointment; the successful candidate will be invited to join one or more units within ASU.
Applications are encouraged from scholars across social science (broadly defined) with research expertise on guns, which may include, but is not limited to, the culture and politics of armed self-defense; gun violence; cultural representations of guns; guns and social stratification; gun markets, the gun industry, and gun trade; social movement mobilization surrounding gun rights and/or gun control; comparative/transnational approaches to guns in society, including the relationship between migration and guns; the intersection of guns, conservation, and the environment; and related topics grounded in social science approaches. Preference will be given to applicants whose research is oriented toward bridging divides within the gun debate, unearthing new opportunities for conversation, and (re)framing the terms of the gun debate in ways that serve the interests of the broader public, especially in Arizona. The BRIDGS Initiative is a new initiative at ASU that engages the topic of guns in society by drawing on the methodological and analytical expertise in the social sciences and adjacent disciplinary and interdisciplinary spaces. The BRIDGS mission includes building data infrastructure necessary for more productive civic engagement surrounding guns in society; engaging underappreciated voices across the gun debate; and building scholarly community within the area of gun studies, including mentorship opportunities for scholars at all career stages. What you'll do
Serve as bridge leadership for transformative proposals, working with university and foundation leadership to establish interim management structures and operational plans.

What you'll do:
Assists in the development and execution of strategic fundraising and engagement efforts of assigned area(s) by designing, implementing, evaluating and refining development activities to drive donor retention, reactivation, acquisition, and pipeline growth
Depending on area(s) of assignment, actively engages donors, alumni, faculty, staff, and students managing a personal gift/prospect portfolio with a focus on securing gifts at or above the $50,000 level in accordance with performance metrics
Works with development team and academic leaders to assist and direct the implementation and coordination of special fundraising and engagement opportunities by identifying, cultivating and soliciting annual, major and planned gifts; depending on previous experience, there may be a topical focus with a division
Guided by the direction and scope of a prospect's interest, collaborates with various faculty, institute/center directors, and unit-based and foundation-based fundraisers to leverage the maximum philanthropic potential of a prospect
Develops and submits written proposals, budgets, and other collateral materials as needed for securing philanthropic investments
Depending on area(s) of assignment, collaborates with and coordinates the efforts of various ASU offices and functions to advance prospect and donor strategies (i.e., alumni engagement, annual giving, corporate and foundation relations, development, donor relations, estate and gift planning, financial services, research and prospect management, etc.)
Proactively manages a major gift/prospect portfolio ($25,000+), prospects, develops and executes strategic prospect strategies leading to solicitation and investment based on the opportunities of each special assignment
Uses the ASUF prospect management and tracking system (i.e., Salesforce,) to record and coordinate contacts and proposals
Assumes responsibility for core fundraising metrics including face-to-face visits with prospects, identification of new prospects, growth in cumulative giving from the prospect portfolio, major gift proposals submitted, dollars raised
Ensures proper stewardship and recognition of donors in portfolio
Participates, as a member of the ASUF development team and serve as a resource to development colleagues regarding fundraising opportunities
Establishes strong working relationships with deans, chairs, directors, and faculty members of assigned unit(s)

The Arizona Water for All (AW4A) program works with national and local partners to improve water security and engagement in water decision-making amongst households in water-insecure areas of the state.
The Postdoctoral Scholar will investigate the role of Modular, Adaptive, and Decentralized (MAD) water system in improve water security for rural communities in Arizona that are not connected to large municipal water systems. This research will generate findings directly applicable to improving the water security of households in the state of Arizona and the southwest United States, with wider relevance both nationally and globally. The ideal candidate will be a social scientist with interest or research experience in: the causes and effects of water insecurity in rural areas; the importance of operations and maintenance in sustainable water service delivery; the role of regulation in technology adoption in the water sector.
The Arizona Water Innovation Initiative is a statewide project led by the Julie Ann Wrigley Global Futures Laboratory. Through this initiative, ASU works with industrial, municipal, research, agricultural, tribal, and international partners to rapidly accelerate and deploy new approaches and technologies for water conservation, efficiency, monitoring, forecasting, decision-making, policy, and equitable distribution. AWII's mission is to drive a thriving water future through discovery, innovation, and action for the benefit of all of Arizona. The postdoc will work directly with Dr. Patrick Thomson and be part of a dynamic research team at the School of Human Evolution and Social Change (SHESC) led by Professor Amber Wutich. This is a benefits-eligible, full-time position with no tenure implications. The anticipated start date is October 2025.
