Quite a bit of drama within the company as far as everyone knowing everyone’s business.
A company truck, double retirement plans ( 401k match and pension plan), and the pay rate.
Our CEO has a good perspective of what we need to do to produce power in the most practical and environmentally safe way.
Overall there is a great culture, but there seems to be some drama between AECC and AECI (the two sides of the company).
I had to pass the CAST Test prior to interviewing. I thought through my experience in building substations and applied that knowledge to my interview.
I think we are below the national average in what we actually get paid for our job. Our pay scale is comparable, but we tend to hang out at the Barton half of the scale and most do not ever make it to top out.
There is a great representation of several cultures and nationalities within the company.
Being a part of building our power grid and seeing those projects through start to finish.
