    4th Year Line Worker - CDL Arkansas Electric Cooperatives, Inc. (AECI) is an organization with a rich history and a bright future. A 4th Year Line Worker constructs and maintains electrical distribution and transmission systems. In this position, you will be given the opportunity to work alongside peers who are versatile, enthusiastic, and strive to push forward AECI's mission. NOTE: This position is not with a member cooperative. AECI contracts to member cooperatives and others as needed. This contract work could include working for cities, municipalities and gas companies. $32.74 - $40.91 an hour Responsibilities Installs poles, conductor, transformers, meters, hardware on energized lines or de-energized lines in keeping with specifications and customer requirements. Reviews plans and specifications and understands safety rules and company policies and promote good relations with other crew members, patron cooperatives and the general public. Operates bucket truck, digger-derrick and other equipment on job site, as required. Informs supervisor of equipment and materials required to complete jobs. Assists foreman in carrying out work plans. Trains other crew members in construction of electrical systems as directed by crew foreman. Performs basic maintenance on equipment and vehicles used to perform assign duties. The ability to handle stress and work well with others are essential functions of this position. Maintains jobsite in a neat and orderly condition. Performs any other related duties as required for the effective and efficient operation of the Construction Department. Due to our obligation to provide continuous, reliable electric service to our customers, the ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance and the ability to work outside your regularly scheduled hours when necessary is an essential function of the job. Must have working knowledge of REA plans and specifications for distribution and transmission and electric system key location maps. Must be able to work in extreme temperatures and at excessive heights. During storm season, expect in and out of state storm recovery work. Must have tools required to perform duties and be able to perform routine maintenance on crew vehicles. An Engineering intern assists in various areas of Power Production and Delivery in AECC's Engineering department located in Little Rock, AR. We're looking for someone who can maintain a high degree of situational awareness to meet continually changing conditions with a fresh and adaptable approach. In this position, you will be given the opportunity to work alongside peers who are versatile, enthusiastic, and strive to push forward with AECC's mission. Responsibilities: * Assist with various projects related to Power Production, Power Delivery, Electrical substations, and/or associated monitoring control systems. * Utilize computer-based engineering software programs to create, design, analyze, and model related data to support the needs of our members. * Support engineers with procurement and contracting related to the purchase of equipment, materials, or construction labor. * Accompany AECC personnel on field visits to various locations throughout the state of Arkansas to collect data. * Organize department drawings and documents to conform to division records management standards. * Assist with database development and process mapping. * Aid AECC staff, including engineers, analysts, and technicians in the accomplishment of daily objectives. Minimum Qualifications: * High School Diploma or equivalent * Pursuing a Electrical Engineering degree from an engineering program that is accredited by The Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, Inc. (EAC of ABET), Land Surveying or a related discipline * Valid state driver's license * Technologically adept and advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills * Exceptional analytical, mathematical, organizational, and problem-solving skills * Extremely detailed and accuracy oriented * Self-starter and ability to work independently with minimal supervision * Able to work well in somewhat challenging weather conditions to support plant testing activities Preferred Qualifications: * Experience using CAD software * Experience with ESRI GIS software * Prior electric utility experience EEO/AA/M/F/VETS/DISABLED * Should you elect to apply for this position, AECC/CI will review your qualifications.
