Pros of working at Arkansas Symphony Orchestra

The concertmaster treats musicians with disrespect. He is incompetent himself, so he hires people that play worse than him. Anytime a musician comes into the orchestra that is very good, they never get hired again. Also, the pay rate is so low, so please don't play here. Only work for them if you can't get a job somewhere else. Almost everybody in that orchestra will tell you this.

Cons of working at Arkansas Symphony Orchestra

Pay is poor, musicians are bad. That's enough said about this place. The concertmaster can't play himself, so the people they hire are terrible musicians. Almost every musician will tell you to leave this orchestra if you can. The people here think this is a good orchestra when it is bad. The current conductor is a very friendly person, however, he doesn't know how to conduct at the professional level.
