1968

1968: West Texas Medical Center opens.

1971

1971: Humana Inc. of Louisville, Kentucky, purchases the hospital.

1988

1988: Humana donates the West Texas Medical Center complex to the city.

1989

1989: Two cardiac surgery suites, outpatient surgery are added, and operating room is expanded.

1992

1992: Two-story heart and vascular medical office building is constructed.

1993

1993: Humana shareholders in February vote to split the corporation's hospital and health insurance operations.

1994

1994: ARMC becomes one of only five hospitals in the nation to perform a stent-graft procedure on an artery, repairing an aneurysm.

1996

1996: Pediatric cardiology clinic opens.

1999

1999: Medical office building and Women’s Center open.

2006

2006: A $26 million expansion project begins in March.

2007: Community Health Systems purchases Triad in July
