Internal Security Associates, LLC (ISA) is a highly professional private security firm seeking highly qualified current and/or former military and/or trained law enforcement/security personnel to work as armed security officers in the Boston Metro area, North Shore, South Shore, Metro West, Western MA as well as Fall River, New Bedford and Cape Cod areas. Candidates must have significant military, law enforcement or armed security training and experience as indicated below. The position requires strong communication skills, a command presence, report writing capabilities, as well as the ability to act in a customer service capacity. Military experience in either force protection and/or PSD/military police units and/or combat deployments, is highly desirable. ISA provides continuous armed security at state government buildings, schools, colleges, foreign consulates as well as for many private sector clients. We are a 24/7 company so team members need to be able to work the shifts and locations as needed by our clients. In addition to the requirement of military, law enforcement/armed security training and experience, this position requires a clean criminal record and a positive employment history. Qualified candidates will undergo extensive interviews as well as comprehensive background/criminal history investigations and drug testing. Candidates with a military background must provide a copy of their latest DD214. Candidates will not be granted an interview for armed positions without the necessary experience and either an unrestricted, employment purposes or non-resident MA Class-A License to Carry Firearms. Selected candidates should expect to be held to standards similar to those found in military and police organizations Experience Requirements

Performs the primary function of protecting the interests and property of the hospital or facility of which assigned. Performs the primary function of service and protection to the hospital's or facility's employees, patients and visitors. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission and values.
Principle Accountabilities: % Of Time Spent

1. Answers and responds to all calls for service or protection. (10%)

2. Provides specific protection to patients, employees and visitors toward the prevention of theft, vandalism and criminal offenses. (10%)

3. Checks premises for obvious safety hazards, including yet not limited to electrical,combustible or mechanical and reports discrepancies to the shift supervisor and prepares a security incident report with regard to initial discoveries and circumstances. (10%)

4. Maintain order in accordance with established policies during actual emergencies or practice drills of fire, disaster or infant abduction. (10%)

5. Observes employee, visitor or patron activities and reports unusual or suspicious acts to the shift supervisor. (10%)

Experience

Must be able to obtain an Armed Security Officer License from St. Louis County within 60 days or will be separated from employment. Possess a current state driver's license from state of residence with a minimum Class E type license

Working Conditions

Employee is required to sit occasionally, stand continuously and walk frequently. Employee must lift/carry a light (1-20 lbs) or medium (21-50 lbs) loads frequently and a heavy (50 lbs+) load occasionally. Employee may be required to lift over 100 lbs with assistance occasionally. Employee is occasionally required to bend, squat, crawl, kneel, climb and lift waist to overhead occasionally. Employee is occasionally required to reach forward and reach overhead. For repetitive action, employee is required to use both hands for simple grasping and pushing/pulling frequently. Employee is occasionally exposed to electrical hazards, fumes, chemicals, blood borne pathogens and CRT terminal work. Employee must have manual dexterity to operate motor vehicle and handle safely personal duty firearm. Employee must qualify on an approved firearm's range two times per year. Speech, hearing and near visual acuity are essential. Employee is required to work in weather climates that are considered adverse, such as extremes in temperature or elements continuously. Employee may be required to work any shift, due to 24 hour, 7 day per week operation. (Occasionally: 1-33%, Frequently: 34-66%, Continuously: 67-100%) The most significant of duties are included but this does not exclude occasional work assignments not mentioned or developmental duties.

Job Relationships: Member of a support department that interacts regularly with patients, physicians, visitors, volunteers, vendors and other employees.
