The Three-Dimensional Studies Lab Technician role at CCAD is a part-time position that provides operational support within the Woodshop and Three-Dimensional Studies facilities of the college. The technician coordinates their work under the supervision of the Lab & Studio Manager, works with the Woodshop & Three-Dimensional Studies Lab Manager, assists faculty from various departments, and is responsible for the direction of student workers in the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the facilities. The successful candidate will demonstrate a thorough knowledge of professional and safety practices in fabrication and shop operation as well as proficiency in creating molds for casting, woodworking, and finishing. In addition, those who demonstrate the ability to work in multidisciplinary approaches and practices (metals, ceramics, glass, fibers) will be given additional consideration. You will be responsible for mixing wet paint, reducing and spraying paint samples, and maintaining the cleanliness of lab areas.
