Currently the one of the largest writers of federally-sponsored crop insurance policies in the United States, AgRisk Management Technologies (ARMtech) was created to manage the complexity of crop insurance through proactive and innovative solutions that blend extensive agribusiness experience with insurance expertise and high-tech software development. With this goal in mind, ARMtech has revolutionized the crop insurance industry with fully-integrated proprietary software that allows agents to service crop insurance policies as quickly and efficiently as possible. Originally founded in 1996, ARMtech entered the crop insurance services business in 1999 as a Texas-based managing general agency. Four years later, ARMtech acquired American Agri-Business Insurance Company (AA-BIC), which holds a Standard Reinsurance Agreement with the Federal Crop Insurance Corporation. In 2007, ARMtech joined Endurance Specialty Holdings, Ltd (ENH) as an independent business unit and wholly-owned subsidiary. Known for its expertise in a variety of niche markets, Endurance was a global insurance provider who specialized in property, casualty, healthcare liability, worker's compensation, professional, and agricultural lines of insurance. Endurance was acquired by Sompo Holdings, Inc. in 2017 and was rebranded as Sompo International, whose operating subsidiaries are backed by the financial strength of Sompo Japan Nipponkoa Insurance Company. Sompo holds A+ financial strength ratings from both A.M. Best and Standard & Poor's.
