General Warehouse Staff performs warehouse work related to receipt, shipment, storage, distribution, or delivery of products, parts, and materials. May operate a hand truck, forklift, or other heavy equipment. **Starting Pay Rate $16/Hour - Pay to Commensurate with Experience** The primary job functions include, but are not limited to: Load and unload merchandise as it is received or when it is being shipped to customers. Unload merchandise or materials from trucks onto warehouse platforms. May load and unload merchandise by hand or operate forklifts. Utilize automated material-handling equipment, conveyor belts to store and retrieve goods in warehouses. May use a gas or electric powered forklift to load and unload, move or stack materials or products. Stacks or piles materials in a safe manner at the specified locations. Supplies work areas with materials. Accurately scan products using hand-held scan gun May transfer completed orders to the floor and group them for efficient deliveries Lifts, carries, packs, and moves merchandise Keep area clean and clear of trash, boxes, pallets, observe all “Warehouse 101” standards Ensure all totes/bins/boxes are clearly identified with information placard; Clearly identify all material in area Assist with any special projects including inventory Maintain a satisfactory attendance record. May have custodial duties including sweeping warehouse/showroom regularly, dusting shelves as needed, organizing merchandise, cleaning and stocking rest rooms as needed, and keeping all aisles clear with no merchandise on the floor May maintain grounds and parking lot Qualifications The skill requirements include, but are not limited to: Working knowledge of hand-held product scan guns or the ability to learn their functions.
