Under the direction of the Laboratory Medical Director and the Director of Laboratory Services, and Laboratory Manager. Assists technical personnel with assigned tasks, instrument maintenance, and inventory. Receives patients, correctly identifies patients, collects specimens from patients, transports specimens, and processes specimens. How You'll Contribute: We always do whatever it takes, even if it isn't specifically our “job.” In general, the Licensed Clinical Laboratory Technologist is responsible for: Follow the laboratory's procedures for specimen handling and processing, reporting and maintaining records of patient test results. Attention to detail is essential with these duties; labeling must be clear and legible Perform chemiluminescent immunoassays on serum samples, using automated equipment. This includes calibrating; cleaning and maintaining the equipment as required by the manufacturer Perform semen analyses, including sperm count, sperm motility, sperm morphology and viability.
