ROLE SUMMARY
Alston & Bird is seeking a Fee Arrangements Coordinator in the Atlanta office. With guidance from the Rates Supervisor, you will perform a variety of duties centered around maintaining fee agreements in Aderant and its peripheral systems. Your primary focus areas will include setup and maintenance of billing rate information including client discounts and alternative fee arrangements. You will also assist with training and documentation of firm rates and processes.
You will provide routine communication with Firm attorneys, client contacts, legal administrative assistants and others, both inside and outside the firm!
+ Configuration and maintenance of rate/discount arrangements with various clients within various A&B systems as well as reporting rate information back out to our billing attorneys.
+ Utilizing various systems and reporting tools to analyze client billing history and provide reports and spreadsheets to LAAs, billing attorneys and clients.
+ Assist with documenting department fee agreement procedures and training of firm billing staff and LAAs.
+ Set up rates for new firm timekeepers in Aderant.
+ Setting up disbursement constraints and other pertinent arrangement rules as per Client Guidelines.
+ Assist supervisors with special projects as requested.
+ Build, maintain, and deliver a professional customer service attitude and relationship with all internal and external contacts.
+ Maintain the confidentiality of all firm and client financial matters.
+ Broad knowledge of law firm electronic billing and related technical tools
+ Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
+ Strong communications skills including great listening/interpretation skills.
+ Ability to establish effective working relationships throughout the Firm as well as with various client and vendor contacts.
+ Thorough knowledge of Firm and Administrative Support Service standards, practices and procedures to meet Firm personnel demands.
+ Excellent organizational skills for prioritizing workload.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
+ Previous experience of 2 or more years of law firm billing or other related experience.
