A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A CARPENTER
In this position, you will work independently in fulfilling services to our customers. This includes scheduling services and gathering the necessary tools and materials to complete each project. In your daily work, you may encounter projects that include the following:
soffits, facia, siding
interior/exterior trim
framing, sheetrock
decks, porches
doors, windows
gutters
Through your excellent customer service skills, you will explain the process of the services you provide and answer any additional questions. Your understanding of written, verbal, or diagram instructions will be crucial in delivering an uncompromised service to our customers. Some jobs may require tall ladders or roof work. To ensure a thorough job, you will polish off your project by cleaning up your area of work and collecting any payments due. With your hard-working attitude and attention to detail, you will help your service center achieve company goals and provide an experience that can't be beaten!
Minimum Qualifications:
Demonstrated skill in most of the construction categories listed above is a must
Ability to pass and maintain any state regulatory agency-required licensing/certification exams
Able to pass internal technical exams
Possess current Driver's License
High school diploma or equivalent
Able to work a 40-hour (minimum) workweek
Willing to work evenings and weekends as needed

The Carpenter is responsible for constructing, repairing, restoring, and installing structural woodwork and related materials as per drawings, sketches and verbal instructions.
Key Job Responsibilities
Takes measurements and calculates the size and amount of material needed
Operates stationary power tools, hand power tools and hand tools
Layout, cut and assemble parts such as doors, paneling, boxes, rails and trim
Performs joinery work on vessel to fabricate and fit bulkheads, ceilings, windshield, windows, furniture, cabinet, desks, trims, handrails, cap rails and any other marine related joinery work
Install prefabricated and/or custom parts such as hatches, marine hardware, metal trim and other parts
Applies knowledge of woodworking joints in the marine industry
Builds scaffolding and other construction structures
Able to read technical documents and drawings
Fabricate templates
Know how to work with acrylic materials
Following company, industry and best practices regarding safety standards (safe equipment usage, personal protective equipment, reporting)

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A CARPENTER
In this position, you will work independently in fulfilling services to our customers. This includes scheduling services and gathering the necessary tools and materials to complete each project. In your daily work, you may encounter projects that include the following:
