Arrow International, Inc. announced the beginning of its operation as a privately-owned company in the textile and medical industries on December 8, 1975.
"Arrow acquired Cramer Electronics in 1979, making the company a national coast-to-coast distributor for the first time.
Waddell assumed leadership and, in 1982, recruited Stephen P. Kaufman, formerly a partner of McKinsey and Company, to join Arrow as president of the company’s electronics distribution division.
In 2012, the Arrowg+ard Blue Advance™ PICC was also cleared by the FDA for antithrombogenic protection to help protect against common complications of vessel thrombosis, fibrin sheath and catheter occlusion.
